YATAGARASU: the flawless wings

"How the hell could you screw this up James!" Layla spits at me.

"Ewww! and what! We were all distracted by your ranting, he could've made a sandwich and still have gotten away." I swiftly respond back to her.

Layla gives an angry look, soon after she just explodes.

"I CANT BELIEVE THE AUDACITY YOU HAVE, YOU HAVE THE POWER TO STOP THIS THING AND YOU CANT EVEN TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! YOU WERE ALWAYS SO PATHETIC AND THATS WHY I ALWAYS PICK ON YOU! YOUR SO UGLY AND STUPID, MY JEEZ I CANT BELIEVE THIS RIGHT NOW I ABSOLUTELY HATE YOU....."

Layla continues to go on and on about how much she has hated me over the years and I start to daze off while she screams. I mean just look at her, spewing out the mouth, she looks pretty funny when she's angry. I don't know why she always has to be in the right or whatever.... I wish I didn't have to be the one responsible for dealing with this mess...

"AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO CATCH THIS GUY AND YOU JUST-" Layla stops to look at me dazing off.

"WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING!!" She spurts out with even more hate in her face. She quickly reaches into her bag and pulls out a small makeup set the size of her hand.

"I'll finish you here" she dips two fingers in and then smears a black substance across her face.

"Let's go Lana" she angrily says as her eyes turn into a pale white.

"Run Ellie! Go find the guy." I yell to Ellie who is watching from afar.

Ellie gives a nod and starts to chase and track down the mystery man we had in our sights moments ago.

Layla takes a fast lunge at me, I roll to the side scraping my head.

"Yata!" My eyes flash red and I throw a punch at Layla. She catches my fist and swiftly kicks me square in the chest.

"I've always hated you James!" She screams to me as I stumble back from her hard kick.

I feel my chest burn from the kick, she hits pretty hard....
She materializes a gun and points it to my head

"Goodbye James" she says with a smile on her face

"What the?"

Click click click

"Guess they don't come with ammo huh?" I quickly get to my feet and smack the gun out of her hands.

She throws a punch, I swiftly dodge and punch her right in the gut.
She spits blood from her mouth as she stumbles back.

"ACK..."

"You suck Layla" I run away while I can.

I look behind me as she is kneeling down holding her stomach on the large hill of trash on the street. Blood drooling from her mouth as I run away.
I make my way down the street where I can see Ellie in the distance

"ELLIE!" I yell from a distance.

Ellie turns her head and I see a scared expression on her face, as she turns around I get a glimpse of a figure in front of her.
It's him.

He takes a swing at Ellie but she dodged very quickly.
Her eyes are green so she must be using her crow to read his movements.

I quickly dash in to help her out.
As he takes another swing I'm close enough to fight along side her.
She dodges and the guy stumbles forward just a bit.

I kick him square in the face and you can hear the POP of the impact.
His hair flings back and he covers his now bleeding nose.

"What happened to Layla?" Ellie asks while taking a position next to me.

"We can talk about fussy lady later, we got something bigger on our hands."

He slowly stumbles forward with an angry look in his eyes.

"Behold James" he says with a smirk.

My confidence sharply declines as the grin on his face widens.

"The flawless wings!" He screams as his crow let's out its call.

"This doesn't look like it'll be good James" Ellie grips my arm and starts running.

The ground under him begins to reduce itself to atoms. Rapidly increasing darkness surround him and the street around him.

"I think I found out his power Yata" I say while trying to stay caught up with Ellie.
Yata turns his beak towards me.

"It isn't what we thought it was."
I take a long pause between my last word....

"It's far worse than just changing the universe."
