The flawless wings

I'm running back to Ellie's house, running as fast as I can back to her. This can't be, what's happening, this is horrible, what could possibly be going on, did I make a wrong turn.......?

As I quickly run back I see Ellie running to me from her porch with a pale look on her face. She runs into my arms and squeezes me tight as I look at her house and the rest of our neighborhood slowly disappear. I put my arms over her as tears fall down our faces. It's the other crow, it has to be.

"Do you think it's the other Yatagarasu..?"I ask while holding onto Ellie

"I think so" Yata flies off my shoulder and looks around. He hovers around and looks off into the distances, he shortly after flies back down to give me the info.

"This ain't gonna be pretty." He says while perching on my shoulder again. Ellie let's go and her eyes flash green and she scans the area.

"The host has to be close!" She runs off down the street.

"WAIT!" I quickly follow after her.

I'm now chasing her down the street as she sprints and activates her power, I see a flash of green from her eyes as she looks back and forth to scan the area. I'm starting to notice that I'm not fast at all as I'm slowly losing ground from her. The street starts to fill with houses again as if we just entered a loaded chunk of a video game.

I look behind me to see a void form from what happened to be my house a couple of seconds ago, Ouch. I start to catch up with Ellie as I see a huge pile of rubble and trash heaped up in front of her. The street was filled with trash and debris all to have seen to come from no where.... and I'm almost impressed!

I catch up with Ellie as we both pant and pant from the long sprint.

"Did you sign up for the track team?" I teasingly ask her

"No, but I know that you definitely didn't" she strikes back

At the top of the pile I see Layla fighting a kid who looks about her age. He was wearing a black hoodie and boots, had two ear piercings and a nose ring .Talk about edgy. As we're starting to climb the rubble I see him in a clear shot, long slick blonde hair and dark eyes, a very defined face and chin.

"Would you stop looking at him and hurry up!" Ellie screams

Layla catches attention to us

"James!?" She looks upon us while blocking a attack from the kid

I hurry up above the pile to help Layla, surprisingly I make it up before her. Cool.

"YATA" my eyes flash red and i go for a punch. Colliding straight into his face.

He stumbles back and faces me. Ellie proceeds to make it up to the top. He stares at me, but then surprisingly he looks away from me and stares directly at Ellie. We have a long pause, he isn't really focused on anything else.

"Ugh you creep who are you!" Ellie now disgusted by the guy.

Layla indefinitely just goes for the sneak attack after I distracted him and whacks him.

SMACK!

"James you fucking idiot, your putting us in danger by coming here did you not even read the book!" She screams at me

Suddenly I'm surprised to even understand what's going on. She saw the book before me and got her powers before me which explains a lot.

"Look at his crow James!"

I stare at his body unconscious on the ground, then up to the crow overtop of him. Staring at me with... eyes? Eyes I've never seen. When I look into the crows eyes I see a star, a galaxy even, an endless void.

"The flawless wings The power to reset the universe after gaining enough power." Layla  says

"It's in the book at my hou-" I realize the I don't have a house at the moment.

"Well what's the power?" I ask

"It was in the book James, you were supposed to stay home" she angrily says

"Wouldn't I have been erased?" I quickly argue

"When you have a crow you can't be erased" yata interrupts.

"Yeah and if you would have read the book before it happened we wouldn't be here!" Layla shouts again

"How the hell was he supposed to know!" Ellie fights back on my side

"None of us know what the flawless wings are but the Yatagarasu"

Yata flies into the middle of us and stops the argument

"The flawless wings is an ability known from that crow, the cultist was trying to collect this power along with mine."

"However, I was just a regular crow He didn't think to use me. I was only there with power even unknown to him or myself"

We all give him the same question

"How does it work?"

"The flawless wings is an ability that deletes the user's universe and creates a new one to the users liking."

"Although I don't think it would happen instantly or else we would already be defeated."

Layla interrupts yata.                                  

"This is not making sense!"

"I only have some memories of this, I'm still confused myself."
Yata pauses

"The first memory I can think of, is waking up in the middle of James hands."

Yata continues to explain until we catch on to what he's saying.

"Okay well what about my house? How did that disappear?" I ask

"He can erase spaces in time, I think is happens in concentration." He answers

"So our block just happened to be deleted first..." Ellie sighs

"The power of the crow depends on how powerful your mental state is, your mind, soul, and emotion all contribute to the use of this power."

"Which means?" Ellie asks

"It means that we can stop him if we prevent him from using the power to its full extent."

"Should we kill him?" I shyly ask the group

We all look down to the ground to see that the man is gone.
