You know the drill another song.

3rd person POV

After they finished their food they all headed towards an abandoned looking building because they had some leads on the rA9 case. Once they got upstairs to the apartment where they were supposed to check, Connor was spaced out.

"Hey, Connor, you coming?" Y/n asked Connor. "Yea I was just making a report to Cyberlife." They started heading down the hall.

"So, what do we know about this guy?" Hank asked.

"Not much really." Y/n said.

Connor agreed. "The only thing we know is that a neighbor reported that he heard noises coming from this floor, nobody is supposed to be living here, but the neighbor said he saw a man hiding an LED under his cap."

"Oh Christ, if we have to investigate every time someone hears a strange noise, we're gonna need more cops. Hey, were you really making a report back in the elevator?" Hank asked.

"Just by closing your eyes?" Y/n added.

"Correct."

"Shit.. Wish I could do that." Hank mentioned. Connor knocked on the door and got no answer, he looked at Hank and Y/n, but they just shrugged their shoulders. Then Y/n pounded on the door and asked loudly, "Anybody home?" Yet they still got no answer. Connor then said a slight bit louder, "Open up Detroit police!" Then they heard some noises coming from the inside of the apartment. Hank and Y/n pulled out their guns , "Stay behind us." Y/n instructed Connor.

"Got it." Connor stepped behind the pair. Hank then broke the door down and Y/n and Hank slowly stepped inside with Connor following behind them. They sweeped some rooms and headed down a short hall with a door in the middle of it. Y/n broke down the door and a bunch of pigeons flew out and almost hit Hank and Y/n in the face.

"What the fuck is this?!" Hank yelled. The room was full of pigeons left and right, there was no spot you could walk to that there wasn't a bird there.

"Jesus this place stinks." Y/n covered her nose with her forearm. Hank, Y/n and Connor started looking around to see if they found anything. Hank was extremely annoyed. "Looks like we came here for nothin'." But Connor and Y/n were just starting the investigation.

Connor and Y/n had found more rA9 writing on the wall in the bathroom. They were staring at it, trying to make sense of the writing. "Any idea what it means?" Hank asked.

"rA9... Written 2471 times... It's the same sign Ortiz's android wrote on the shower wall." Connor kept stopping to think.

Y/n was also trying to think what relevance all of these androids had to each other. "Why are they obsessed with this sign?" She asked.

"Looks like mazes or something." Hank pointed out some patterns on the wall. Connor and Y/n quickly glanced at them. Y/n then walked up to the sink and noticed an LED on the sink, which meant the suspect is a deviant.

"It's LED is on the sink." She called out to the guys. She also noticed some blue blood in the sink.

"Hey Connor."

"Yes Y/n?"

"Sample this for me cause there's no way in hell that's getting close to my mouth."

~A/n Y/n can do the same thing as Connor, but she can actually get a disease or something.~

The group kept looking through the apartment and Connor found a diary in a wall behind a poster. All the pages had the same maze looking patterns all over them which even Connor couldn't understand. Meanwhile Hank had found a few piles of birdseed.

"Found something'?" Y/n asked Connor.

"I don't know, it looks like a notebook, but... It's indecipherable."

They went up to a massive hole in the roof and that's when the suspect jumped on her which caused them both to tumble to the ground. The suspect started running and Connor helped Y/n up.

"What are y'all waiting for? chase it!" Hank told them both. Connor and Y/n then started running after the deviant. They ran outside of the apartment and through the hall, as they were running down the hall the deviant dropped a metal rack which Connor and Y/n easily jumped over. They ran outside to the roof while chasing the suspect. They both jumped over a vent and jumped down on a roof plantation. The suspect had jumped on another roof, Connor and Y/n had decided to take the fast and risky route. While the chase was happening Hank was behind trying to keep up which he found extremely hard.

Y/n and Connor kept doing some mild parkour while chasing the suspect, they jumped on hay bales, crates, boxes etc. They chased the suspect all throughout a whole greenhouse in which they had to avoid people's rack of plants and even jump from side to side to be able to keep up. At some point Y/n and Connor had to jump off a roof to some windows after the suspect. Y/n was starting to get tired, but she kept going even though her legs wanted to give up on her.

Y/n and Connor ran through a building onto a slanted glass roof. As they slid down they realized that there was a train coming. Y/n was extremely scared, but she kept going for the sake of the case. Once they landed on the train Connor helped Y/n jump on a ladder so they could keep chasing the suspect. Hank was still trying to keep up, but he had to take the long way due to the train. Y/n and Connor then had to run through some orchards onto a different roof. Then they had to run through a cornfield. When they got to an open area Y/n started to finally catch her breath, but the suspect had pushed her and she was hanging onto the side of a building and the suspect started running away.

Connor stood there for a split second trying to figure out what to do. He decided that saving Y/n's life was way more important than any mission Cyberlife gave him, he didn't know why, but he had grown to enjoy her company and he couldn't imagine working without her.

Y/n was scared. "Shit, fuck, dammit!" she was shaking. Connor could feel her arms shaking and her heart pounding with the brief hug she had given him. After about a few seconds they went to check on the suspect and he had killed himself, he jumped off a roof. Hank had caught up to them at that point.

"Dammit we had it." Hank was mad at himself.

"It's my fault if I wouldn't have stopped Connor he would've got him." Y/n was frustrated she was about to cry. Connor felt sympathy, though he wasn't supposed to do it for a split second.

"Y/n don't blame yourself I should've been faster." Connor reassured Y/n.

"You would've caught it if it weren't for me." Y/n hated herself for showing so much weakness.

They then headed downstairs and walked back to the car. Y/n was angry with herself, she was supposed to be strong and brave, but she was scared and stressed and Connor noticed that.

"Hey dad."

"What is it honey?"

"Can you take me home? I just want to be alone, I'm way too stressed to go back to work."

"Will do." Hank mentioned and he re-routed to go to their house.

"Y/n you're showing high levels of anger and stress, is there anything I could do to help you?" Connor asked.

"Hey dad, can I steal Connor from you? I don't want to be alone."

"Only this because I feel like you need it."

When Y/n and Connor had gotten to the house Y/n was shivering because it was so cold out so Connor hugged her. He was oddly warm.
