*3rd POV*

Y/n and Hank were tired, it was 1 am already and they were sitting in a park bench having a beer, it was a beautiful snowy night. Connor was in the car watching silently and listening to Hank's music, he was... Studying them. Meanwhile, Hank and Y/n were having a conversation.

"Hey dad?"

"Yes honey?"

"Is it possible to love a machine?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I.. I... think I love Connor, in the few days he's been with us he's shown me that there's another whole side of me that I've yet to discover and he's shown more humanity than other humans have shown towards me."

Hank was drunk and he wasn't sure he was even listening correctly.

"Listen honey, can we talk about this later?"

"Oh... I guess." She didn't blame Hank he just wasn't the same ever since the accident. Sometimes he would unintentionally push her away without realizing it. Y/n decided to head back to the car and fall asleep on the front seat, Connor got out of the car and approached Hank. Hank was just starring at the river in front of him, with his usual dull eyes that somehow managed to have a tiny spark of hope in them.

"Nice view, huh? I use to come here a lot before..." Hank took aother swig at his beer bottle.

Connor briefly looked at Hank then momentarily at Y/n. "Can I ask you a personal quiestion, Lt?"

"Do all androids ask personal, or just you?"

"I saw a photo of some kids on your kitchen table, it was your son and Y/n, right?"

Hank scoffed and looked foward towards the river.

"Yeah, his name was Cole."

Connor felt a spark of saddnes in his system.

"Before what?" Connor asked quietly.

"Hm?" Hank didn't hear him well."

"You said 'I use to come here a lot before.' Before what?"

"Before... Before nothing." Hank was drunk and depressed, you could see it from a mile away.

Connor walked towards the railing that separated the park from the river.

"We're not making any progress on this investigation, the deviants have nothing in common. They're all different models, produced at different times, in different places." Connor was confused.

"Well there must be some sort of link."

"Well the all have this obssession with rA9, it's almost like some kind of myth. Something they invented that wasn't part of their original program."

"Androids believing in god, fuck what's this world commin' to?" Hank took a sip again. Connor just starred at him surprised. "Could rA9 be some sort of god they praise?" Connor thought.

"You seem preoccupied Lt, is it something to do with what happened back at the Eden club?"

"Those two girls, They just wanted to be together... They really seemed in love."

"You seem troubled Lt. I didn't think machines could have such an effect on you."

"What about you Connor? You look human, you sound human, but what are you really?"  Hank smirked.

"I'm whatever you want me to be Lt. Your partner, your buddy to drink with, or just a machine. Designed to accomplish a task." Connor said, but that seemed to make Hank's tone a little more daring maybe agressive.
