Chapter 7

"lip Iz feet on the floor" fiona yells from downstairs and i open my eyes to see warren standing in front of lips bed "warren" i say sitting up "hey Iz, lip?" he says and lip wakes up "warren" lip answers "wheres my paper" warren asks "wheres my money" lip says "i got it" warren tells lip "okay, i wanna see it" lip tells him jumping down from his bed and i get up from mine walking over to my dresser and grabbing a shirt and a pair of jeans out "thirty-five, right?" warren asks lip "no, 50" lip tells him walking out into the hallway and warren starts speaking some weird shit "stop speaking fake Korean warren" i tell him walking into the bathroom closing the door to get dressed. by the time i get out warren is gone and lip tells me "hey we gotta go" and i nod, then we head to school and i head to work after school.

Im at work stalking the shelves when ian walks in, he was late by like an hour but I told linda that he was sick, so he wouldnt get in trouble. "whats with the costume" linda ask ian and I walk out of the isle to see what shes talking about "I got promoted in ROTC today" I hear ian say "oh my god ian good job, im so proud of you" I say running up to ian and hugging him. "dont be late again ian, anyway I want all the shelves stocked and the labels facing the same direction" linda says "where are you going" kash ask "your head is like a funnel, the boy's boy scout trip is this weekend, so we won't be back until Monday" linda tells kash "they have Muslim boy scouts" ian ask. "its similar the motto is still be prepared but you learn how to work with chemicals instead of tying knots" me and ian laugh and linda leaves. "wow ian im so proud of you, linda and the boys will me go for two days we can celebrate" kash says I gag and say "ok well you guys have fun imma go, good job ian. ill see you later, love you" I tell him "love you too Iz" he says back to me and I walk out

Next day after school

"food, drinks, candy out the door without being paid for" ian and I hear linda say as we walk into the store. "what are you doing when all of this thievery is taking place, you playing games on your phone? do me a favor when I take the boys to school, grow a pair" me and ian laugh and walk behind the counter and but our stuff down. 

when mickey milkovich walks into the store and grabs a bunch of stuff comes up to the counter grabs a box put his stuff in it and walks towards the door but I grab his arm. "the fuck you want gallagher" mickey says to me "you have to pay mickey" I told him. "haha funny, im good" he pulls his arm away and walked out. "Kash you have to stand up to him" ian tells Kash "what the hell do you want me to say" kash says "how about cut the shit or ill call the cops" I said "that doesnt work trust me, I tried it once with his dad" kash told us "mickeys dad is in jail" ian says and mickey walks back into the store. and grabs one more thing from the fridge "i forgot the dip" he says smiling and walks out the store again. "Jesus Christ kash" I say before walking out of the store after mickey. "hey mickey steal from a neighborhood you dont live, have a little civic pride." I say to him and ian and kash walk outside he grabs the container of dip out of his box and throws it at ian and kash "you know where I live if you have a problem, gallagher" mickey says before walking off. "go to the store you two and replace the stuff he stole" kash tells us, so we do just that

When we get back linda is standing in the store and looks at us "where have you two been? where are you going with that stuff" she looks in the bag. "what is it the milkovich kid again?" she asks us, she grabs a cardboard cutout of some guy that was in the store and takes us to the alley behind the store, and pulls out a gun. she shoots the cardboard cut out around six times in the dick. "where'd you learn how to do that?" kash ask linda "I lived a lot of years before I met you, come here. hold it like you want to do something with it" she tells kash, and he shoots the gun but misses. "give it here" ian and I say at the same time "what" linda says to us, and we walk over the kash and take the gun from him ian shoots first shooting the legs, arm, and head. and I took it from him shooting the cardboard cut out in the head, shoulders, and crotch. "ROTC" ian tells linda "aiming isnt that difficult, plus ive shot guns before" I tell linda then ian and I leave to go meet fi

We meet steve, fiona, lip, debbie, and carl at the elementary school debbie and carl go because carl go into trouble a lot and was bullying kids at his school. After steve talked to carls principle, the principle decided to let it go, and we were leaving when we saw frank with karen. "daddy" debbie says "debbie we have to go" fiona tells her trying to get us out before frank reaches us because she knows what he is doing. "no wait i wanna say hi to daddy, daddy" debbie said waving at frank. "hello my little offsprings" frank says to us "karen whats going on" lip asks "well you said you never come to these things, so I asked frank to stand in for my worthless father" karen says to us "did they expel carl" frank asks and none of us said anything we just looked at eachother then back at frank. "see what did I tell you drama and threats all for naught" frank tells us. fiona smiles at us and says "lets go kids" and we walk away from frank. "alrighty then i will see you guys later" franks says as we walk away.

when we get home we sit carl down and talk to him "carl were serious. the stakes are really high. we love you and we need you in this family, in this house. you need to stop biting and punching and hurting people" fiona tells carl "well how else do i make them cry" carl asks "gossip and slander" i tell him "you know when i get really angry i just count to ten" steve tells carl "hey little man ill tel you what were gonna do. were gonna get you some pads and skates and get you out on the ice. and you can take your frustrations out with a hockey stick "you can come to karate with me. remember when i broke kyles leg? took three pins to put it back together" ian tells carl "you can't beat karate when it comes to regulated sanctioned violence for children" debbie tells carl, and he nods.

we are all sitting on the couch watching a movie and lip is on the phone calling people because he got busted with his SAT gig. and someone knocks on the door. debbie gets up to answer it and some big dude in a leather man's jacket walks in "tire" lip says "lip my man" the guy says back closing the front door "they invalidated my score" he yells at lip trying to hit him "i was gonna call" lip tells him and ian and i look at the two of them "imma get like a six on this test" the guy tells lip "youll get at least 200 for spelling your name correctly, shit wait wait wait i can fix this" lip tells him "i won't be able to play ball in college" he says running after lip "no youll go straight to the pros" lip says running up the stairs. as they run upstairs me and ian hear a loud bang, and we get up running up the stairs "hey the bat" i yell at them reaching the 2nd floor of our house seeing this guy holding lip out the window of carl and debbies room "get back inside" ian says trying to pull his shoulders back "back up before i throw you out too" the guy yells and i pull ians shoulders back slightly "let him go" carl yells holding the bat up "bring our brother back in the house or the kid swings the bat" i tell him "okay okay keep your shit straight ill pull hi back in" he tells us "what the hell is going on" fiona walks in the room asking "dont worry carls got it covered" ian tells her "hey you okay" i ask lip pulling him to stand behind us "hey i was just joking alright" the guy says to us and carl swings the bat "oh shit" "carl" "fuck" we all say and the guy falls to the ground his leg snapping in half

"good job carl" we tell him carrying carl back downstairs
