Nico Pov:

I head down the latter onto the lower level of the ship where I'm met with a crowd of people surrounding the door of the ship. Amongst the people I see Clarke yelling that they can't open the doors. I start to walk towards her when I'm pushed by a guard. "Back up guys; we'll all get out soon," he says as he goes to open the door. Clarke immediately stops him yelling that the air could be toxic. The guard just looks at her with an unconcerned face. "If the air is toxic we're all dead anyway," he says. He wasn't wrong if the air truly was as toxic as Clarke read about then it would only take of few minutes for us to die. I lock eyes with the very young-looking guard. I was about to warn him that maybe we should wait a bit before opening the doors until someone screams the name Bellamy from the back of the ship. We all turn around to see a girl around my height with long brown hair come down from the latter and walk up to the guard whose name I'm now assuming is Bellamy. I hear someone whisper that she was the girl that was hidden under the floor for a whole 16 years on the Ark. Back on the Ark, it was illegal to have more than 1 child. This rule was enforced to not risk running low on supplies. I think her name was Octavia if I wasn't mistaken. Now that I think about it my family really was privileged since my mom was allowed to have a second child. Me! As Bellemy and Octavia converse with each other, I learn that Bellamy was her big brother and he wasn't an actual guard from Ark. He just put on the suit to see Octavia. I personally thought it was heartwarming but Clarke obviously did not since she broke up their happy reunion. That's my sister. She points out that Bellamy wasn't wearing a wristband and demands to know why not. I walk up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Come on Clarke let them catch up its obvious they miss each other."Octavia gives me a thankful look as I greet her with a smile. "Hi, my names Nico," I say to the two siblings. Octavia was about to say something until loud chatter about her being the girl under the floor echoes throughout the ship. I could tell she was about to lose it before Bellamy holds her back. "Octavia, Octavia, no. Let's give them something else to remember you by..ok?"
"Yeah like, what?" asks an already agitated Octavia. "Like being the first person on the ground in a hundred years," says Bellamy as he pulls the latch to open the ship's door. I instinctively grab Clarke's hand squeezing it to reassure her that we would be ok. When the doors open sunlight floods into the dimly lit ship. It's so bright I have to squint my eyes, but when I open them I'm met with a beautiful oasis of tall trees and overgrown green grass. Plants! There are so many plants here just like I read about. Maybe even more. Octavia steps out a little and takes one deep breath of fresh air signaling that the air is in fact not toxic. Before she goes out any further she suddenly grabs my hand dragging me out of the ship with her. Ignoring the protests of Clarke she whispers "You excited to be on earth?" to me as she squeezes my hand. I happily nod my head. "We're back, bitches!" she screams and that's when it finally sets in that we're really on Earth. Cheers erupt from the ship as everyone starts to run out into the woods. I meet back with Clarke to see her smiling just as big as I am. Suddenly her smile drops as she grabs my hand and leads me to the edge of a ridge in the woods. She shows me this map that states that someplace called Mount Weather should be in front of us. As we look at the map Finn suddenly comes up from behind us. "Why so serious, Clarke? It's not like we died in a fiery explosion. Well, I almost died from little Prince over here falling on me but I digress." I look at him with disbelief. "You told me you were ok?" I question him starting to feel guilty again. He burst into laughter and teases me for being dense. "Haha. Sorry little Prince your reactions are just too funny." I start to fake pout getting a little annoyed by his jokes. He looks at me worriedly probably thinking  I was actually mad "You don't like when I tease you, do you, little Prince? I can stop if it makes you upset" I can hear the sincerity in his voice and that's when I randomly boop his nose. "As long as I get to tease you back," I say to him as I give him a bright smile. His face suddenly glows a light shade of red before he turns his head away from me. I was going to ask if he was feeling ok when Clarke ask us if we see that peak over there? We both instantly nod our heads yes. "It's called Mount Weather. There's a radiation-soaked forest between us and our next meal. They dropped us on the wrong damn mountain." says Clarke. I look at Finn then back to the Moutain. "Well there goes our celebration"
