He brought a walkie-talky looking device to his mouth, chill gaze keeping her ridged form in place. "Foun-"

A hand shot out, slamming him into the wall by the throat. Vlad King's colossal figure held him steady, quirk crystalizing into a deep red cage. Aizawa followed suit.

No fucking way. She must've misheard that, right?

The students cried in relief, unable to make coherent sentences out of pure shock. (Name) was silent, clinging to the man's last words.

So he wasn't just a shady guy with weird piercings. But why was he here, and why did he show up at the festival? The way things were lining up, maybe she wasn't making it home after this.

"Explain yourself, villain." Aizawa stepped forward, irises glowing. Again, a half-smile settled on the man's face despite the situation. "You've already lost, no matter what happens to me." A chuckle. "Can't you tell? You're playing right into our hands."

Then he dissolved into nothing but a puddle of mud on the floor - leaving her completely unharmed.

Well if she wasn't what he wanted, it had to be Katsuki. It made sense. He did place first in the sports festival, and his quirk was the perfect mix of flashy and dangerous.

For strangers, people just looking in from the outside, it was easy to mistake his passion for hatred and bitterness.

But she knew better.
He'd be okay.
Katsuki was the strongest person she knew.

"Damn, a clone." Aizawa grunted, kicking some dirt off his boot. He shared a look with his colleague before facing his students. "I'll head out. None of you are permitted to leave."

But what if he was alone? There were bound to be dozens of villains who tagged along, lurking in the forest at that very moment. Katsuki could already be fighting them.

Her legs headed to the door before her thought even finished, stuck between the voice of reason in her head and her instinct to help him.

A hand grabbed her by the shoulder. "Hey, we all want to help but..."

"What's wrong?" Kirishima forced his voice to sound calm, eyes rounded at how absolutely frantic his friend looked. He slid his hand down her arm, hoping to stabilize her trembling frame.

"They're going to do something to Katsuki, I know it." (Name) said, trying to control her breathing as Mina hugged her other arm. "We met him at the festival. That guy with the fire quirk."

"Are you sure it's him?" Sero spoke up, rounding the chairs and desks scattered during the commotion. "It all happened so fast, you might've not seen his face properly."
