Of course he was applying for U.A. Why did he need to fill out a stupid form declaring it?
Katsuki grumbled, kicking a rock off the sidewalk, glaring as it tumbled across the road. Unlike his irrelevant seat-filler classmates, he'd actually make it in.
"Let me see what you wrote." He reached for the girl beside him who'd been spacing out since they left school, a single sheet between her fingers — the same one due by the end of the week, when their fates were resigned to a few sentences scribbled on a piece of paper.
She complied, stifling a laugh at the look he gave when he saw it was blank. A clean slate, with no sign she had any aspirations in life. Why would she? All she thought of was looking after her sister, and that was probably her only plan.
A nudge, a shove, and a few petty insults later, they were back on track to his place where (Name) would pester him and do whatever was time-consuming until she was forced to go home.
Because inside those fancy mansion walls, there was no laughing or shouting at each other. At least, not the joking-kind.
"So..what are you gonna do then?" Katsuki grunted, having an inkling. His head tilted to the sky, painted in velvety purples and tangerines, warm like the summer even though it was mid-fall.
The walk home was always good. Left alone to their thoughts, or an occasional stop at a convenience store they frequented. Maybe his favorite part of the day, not that anyone needed to know.
(Name) smoothed over her uniform, crinkled from their bickering earlier. "Dunno, I might just drop out. I don't like studying anyway." A half-joke, coupled with a not-so-convincing chuckle.
He scoffed, "the hell you gonna do with a junior-high education? Well I guess you can live off your—"
"Orrr maybe I'll try U.A," She interrupted, clasping her hands behind her back as she dipped a little closer. "You know we'd be a kickass power couple."
