Ozpin told the minimum. He spun the tale about Salem, the sorcerer whom conjures the Grimm. The Gods in which abandoned the world. The maidens and the powers in which they held. The relics and their might. But this was not the full story. Reven was aware of this. But he did not care.

Reven listened in silence, a stone cold expression on his face.

"That is why you are here. That is why we need you. That is what we are up against." Ozpin finished.

Reven stood up, yanked his helmet from the ground and put it on. "This isn't my fight."

The spartan the turned and called for the elevator.

"What will you do?" Ozpin asked.

Reven didn't say anything. His fury clouded his thinking. He walked in the elevator in silence and left the headmaster without a response.

Reven stepped out of the elevator and turned to find Ceasar leaning against the wall and vibing to music. He played an imaginary piano intensely as he bobbed his head rhythmically. He ended by striking a powerful blow to the nonexistent piano and he opened his eyes, widening them at the sight of his predecessor.

"Oh! Reven I've been meaning to speak with you.. dang it, hold on." Ceasar apologized as he put away his earbuds. His voice was level and calculated yet again. He turned to find Reven walking away. Ceasar sighed before calling out calmly. "I know this must be hard for you. Giving up your team to a stranger. They're family to you, aren't they?"

Reven stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder. A flash of his fellow Spartans painfully spawned in his head before disappearing.

Reven wanted above all to say no. His spartans were his family. His only family. But he couldn't open his mouth to say it.

Ceasar shook his head. "I know you don't want to leave them. Look Ozpin and Ironwood shouldn't have the authority to force you to work for them. I get it, your team is important to you. All your files are black ink. They're probably the only thing anchoring you to real life. So let's get you back to them. Don't worry about me, my time will come. In the meantime let's get you back to being the leader of team Revnant."

There was a moment of silence before Reven answered. "You think I give a rat's ass about my team? They are the most dysfunctional, immature and most worthless group of individuals I have met."

"Well thanks for the warning. But I don't think that's true. And neither do you. Stop trying to justify your decision to become a pawn for Ironwood when you know your team needs you. And weather you see it or not you need them."

Reven turned around to face Ceasar. "I don't need them, and I'm not working for Ironwood."

Ceasar stood a bit straighter as he stared down Shadow. "Well this is an interesting development. Either I have been misinformed or you, my freind, are changing the game. So what will you do?"

Reven contemplated this. "I don't know."

Ceasar anylized Reven before sternly warning Reven. "There is something more at play here. I don't know what it is but you better get your shit together. Before Ironwood takes your pieces and makes himself a toy. I hope you figure out whatever is bothering you. But I feel it's my duty to remind you that a huntsman does what he thinks is right. And although I'll do a fine job, your team needs you. Goodnight Reven. Toodles."

Time skip: Nightfall

Reven sat in the courtyard cleaning and adjusting his sniper rifle after a hard day of avoiding his teammates. Not wishing to speak to anyone, Reven thought hard about the question both Ceasar and Ozpin asked. What will he do?
