When Ella arrived at school the other day in the morning, she expected everything but what happened. The pictures of her and Becca kissing were glued down the halls of the school. Fury and shame hit her and she started to tear the pictures off the walls. All the other students' eyes were on her, most were just curious, but there were those who judged her and it was these looks that Ella felt in every part of her little body.
When she entered the choir room, she was met with pitying looks. And his anger only increased. She didn't want their pity.
Becca - Are you okay? Becca asked as soon as Ella sat down next to him.
Ella - I am. - Becca realized that was just what he was going to get from her.
Val took Ella's hand and she looked at her friend in surprise. She let go of her hand and looked ahead. She didn't want to show how scared she was about it, or rather scared about the possibility that her mother would find out. She had to be strong.
Rachel entered the room followed by Sam and New Directions.
Rachel - Troubletones - Rachel greeted the girls as soon as she entered the room. She looked at Ella who was staring straight ahead without really paying attention to anything.
Molly "Why are they here?" He pointed to the students at the front of the room.
Rachel— We are going to work together this week. She turned to the students.
So they chose a place in the room and sat down. When Alec passed Ella and Becca he smirked, and Becca glared at him.
Rachel - We had some revelations in the last few days. - She got Ella's attention, who looked at Rachel pleading with her eyes not to talk about it, but it was in vain. - When a friend of mine came out, all of us at the choir club sang women's songs made for women ... - She interrupted Rachel when she realized where she was going.
Ella - No, no way, I'm fine. - All Ella didn't need now was a bunch of people singing to her, as if that would make all the problems go away.
Aimeh — It's Mrs. Berry, we are in two thousand and twenty, one in five people are lesbians and everyone else wants to try it or has already tried it.
Ashley— She's right. - All eyes fell on Ashley, who just shrugged.
Ten - And do you think that because we are in two thousand and twenty, that we still do not suffer homophobia? That people still judge us? - Aimeh looked down.
Becca - When I came out, I managed to endure the comments because I had my family supporting me and friends who continued to love me. I think showing that we are here for you will be good - She said looking at Ella.
What hurt Ella in that sentence was to realize that she won't have the support of her family in a thousand years.
Alec - Come on, two girls making out? What's wrong with that?
Jenny - For you? None since it's a Friday night for you.
Alec “You would love to be my Friday night, wouldn't you?” Jenny rolled her eyes.
Sam— We're going out of focus here. - The smiles and side conversations stopped. “This week's task will be to sing songs that say they are not alone. - He spoke and referring to Dez, Becca and Ella. - Rachel and I are going to be the first.
Sam sat on the chair with the guitar and started playing.
Rachel— You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side
You know I'll take your hand
Rachel walked around the room, looking at the students. She took Ella's hand in the last verse.
Sam— When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No, I won't give in
Sam and Rachel— Keep holding on
Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Just stay strong
Cause you know I'm here for you,
I'm here for you
Rachel passed among the students, touching their heads.
There's nothing you can say
Nothing you can do
There's no other way when it comes to the true
So keep holding on
Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Sam— So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late
This could all disappear
Rachel - Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side
I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend
All— Keep holding on
The students started to sing with them. Becca hugged Ella, who smiled and sang along.
Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Just stay strong
Cause you know I'm here for you,
I'm here for you
There's nothing you can say (nothing you can say)
Nothing you can do (nothing you can do)
There's no other way when it comes to the true
So keep holding on (keep holding on)
Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through

Ella walks down McKinley's halls with her head held high. Wherever she went, people looked at her, some soon returned to what they were doing, while others looked at her until she was out of sight. Anyone looking at her from the outside couldn't imagine that inside she was devastated. Not bad, scared.
Aimeh - Hey - Ella was on autopilot who didn't even know she was going to hit Aimeh - Are you okay?
Ella - I'm angry. When I discovered the person who posted those photos ... - She left the end of the sentence in the air. Aimeh fit Ella's arm in hers and started walking beside her.
Aimeh - What that person did was horrible, but now he doesn't have to hide anymore. It can be who you are, love who you want.
Ella— Do you want me to thank that person?
Aimeh - No, obviously not. I want you to see the positive side. When they talked about my body I felt terrible, but I used all the comments as a weapon to get thin, to show them that I could be thin, but that they would never be able to be good people.
Ella - I think I would be one of the people who would make fun of you. - Ella said feeling guilty.
Aimeh - I'm glad you didn't, because we can be friends now. - Aimeh smiled at Ella who returned.
Ella— Thank you. - Aimeh put her head on Ella's shoulder while smiling.

Sam- How are you? Sam asked Rachel as he sat next to her in the middle of the auditorium.
Rachel - The first time I sang that song was with Finn on that same stage. - Sam looked forward melancholy - I don't even know why I'm crying. - Rachel failed to wipe away tears.
Sam - Why do you love him - He said sadly, because he knew she would never love him that way. Rachel heard the twinge of sadness in Sam's voice and turned to face him.
Rachel - Sam I ... - She stopped talking. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know if I loved him. I didn't know if he was going to stay with him. I didn't know if he loved her.
Sam- You don't have to say anything. He touched her shoulder and then got up and left. Rachel put both hands on her forehead and wept even more.

Rachel - Okay, who's going to be first? - Val raised his hand and she went in the front of the room being accompanied by Alec, Jay and Alec.
Jay— You shout it loud
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud, not saying much
I'm criticized, but all your ricochet bullets
You shoot me down, but I get up
Val— I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
Alec, Val and Jay— You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Alec— Cut me down
But it's you who'd have further to fall
Ghost town, haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much
Val and Jay— Stone-hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard, that bulletproof glass
Alec and Jay— You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Alec and Val— You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Everyone applauded as they returned to their seats. Sam got up and when Rachel went to do the same she sat up dizzy. Sam held her.
Sam- How are you?
Rachel - Yes, I just didn't eat anything today. - She passed Sam and went to the front of the room - Congratulations boys, that's what we wanted from you. - Sam joined his side.
Sam— Anyone else?
They took it with their heads, so Sam dismissed everyone. Rachel took Ella's arm.
Rachel - I have one more song for you.
Ella smiled and went to sit down again.
Ella - All of this is overkill.
Rachel - Maybe.
Rachel sat on the stool facing Ella and nodded to Brad, the pianist, and the band.
Rachel— If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
I'll be the light to guide you
Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one, two, three
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
You'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are suppose to do
Oh, yeah
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, uh, uh)
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, uh, uh)
(Yeah yeah)
If you tossing and you turning and you just can't fall asleep
I'll sing a song beside you
And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me
Everyday I will remind you
Oh
Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
Rachel looked deep into Ella's eyes and it looked like she could see all the pain she was feeling. Ella couldn't take it and shed some tears.
You can count on me like one, two, three
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
You'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are suppose to do
Oh, yeah
You'll always have my shoulder when you cry
I'll never let go, never say good bye
You know you can count on me like one, two, three
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
And you'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are suppose to do
Oh, yeah
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, uh, uh)
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, uh, uh)
You can count on me
'Cause I can count on you
Rachel got up and went to hug Ella, who at the moment was falling apart.
Rachel - Calm down, everything will be fine.
Ella - No, it won't - she lifted her head and looked at Rachel. Her eyes were red from crying - You don't know my mother.
Rachel - She loves you and will accept you the way you are
Ella - If she loves me, why did she never tell me? If she loves me why did she never call me a daughter? - More tears streamed down Ella's face. Rachel had no answer to that question. - Did you know that our neighbors are lesbians? And that my mother crosses the street so as not to pass them, as if they had a contagious disease? Rachel's eyes started to water.
Rachel at that moment wanted to pick her up and never let go. Ella was so different from the girl that Rachel met, without her pose as the owner of the world or her wall around her feelings. For the first time Rachel was seeing the real Ella. An Ella who just wanted to know what it's like to be loved. An Ella who has so much anger and pain inside her. And Rachel didn't know how to deal with it, the only thing she did was hug her.
Rachel - I'll be here with you - She lifted Ella's face and made her face her - Okay?
Ella— Okay— Rachel smiled and hugged her again.

They were all sitting at the cafeteria table, when a trio of friends passed by their table and one of them said "lesbians". That was enough for the anger Ella was feeling to explode.
Ella - What did you say?
The girl didn't answer anything, just looked at her and smirked. Aimeh and the other students were shocked when Ella climbed onto their table.
Ella - I've been listening to a lot of gossip running over me at this school these past few days - She spoke loudly so that everyone who was there would listen - Let's clarify a few things. First: I am not a lesbian, I am bisexual, if you don't already know it is the letter B of LGBT +, research. Second: Being bisexual doesn't make you any better than I do, I'm still the captain of the cherrios and I can still destroy anyone who dares to talk about me. Do we have a deal? - The cafeteria was in complete silence - I will accept that as a yes. - so she got off the table and left wagging her perfect ponytail.

Ella came home determined to come out to her mother. When she opened the front door she saw a suitcase packed.
Ella - Mom, are you going to travel? - She asked when her mother appeared.
Alisson— She's not mine— Alisson's tone of voice was one of disappointment. Ella's heart stopped when she realized what it meant.
Ella - Mother - She ran to her mother, who walked away - I'm your daughter, you can't be serious.
Alisson— My daughter? There was sarcasm in her voice and Ella's eyes were already filled with tears. - My daughter does not enter the choir club, my daughter does not kiss other girls.
Ella - Mother ... - Ella approached and held her mother's hand, which refused to look her in the face - ... look at me, it's me. I am the same as this morning, the same that gave you good morning, the same that always did everything to make you feel proud to have me. - She asked - Mother ... Please - She begged and when her mother looked her in the eye she just saw hate.
Alisson - You are no longer my daughter, you are a disgrace and I want you to leave. - Having said that, she left Ella and opened the door, Ella took her bag and looked at her mother again, she begged with her eyes, but it was no use, so she left and when the door closed she fell sitting on the floor and collapsed.

Rachel was sitting on the sofa in her apartment when she heard someone knocking on the door, she got up and when she opened it she found Ella with a suitcase in her hand and her eyes were red and swollen.
Ella - She kicked me out, and I had nowhere to go. - Rachel opened the door wider for Ella to enter, and when she did, she hugged her and let Ella cry again in her arms
