Her Mother In-Law

Chapter 1

This might be my last book on Wattpad. So I decided to just publish this book.

"Ada baby I want to tell you that mama is coming over for the weekend." " To where? Which house? Which weekend? You know she hates me! Always comparing me to all of those Yoruba ladies. And we don't even have any children. Don't let her stay over na?"

"Ada I never complained when your mother came over, so why can't my mother stay over? You'll just have to ignore her for the meanwhile and...." " Dayo and what? If I ignore her she'll always find a way to irritate me."

Ada left the room for her husband and stayed downstairs in the guest bedroom.

God, why is he doing this to me? Ringtone " Hello Bisi how are you doing?" " I'm fine and what about you?" " I'm angry. My mother-in-law is staying over for the weekend and my life is about to be hell." " Didn't I not warn you about marrying Dayo? Face the consequence.

Omo, I didn't even call you because of that, but this woman... what's that her name again... Iya gebmi. She said she wants you to sew her an outfit and it needs to be ready by next week Saturday and I've sent the picture earlier."  " ihe obula(Whatever), but I didn't marry the woman biko. I'm not going to let her send me out of my husband's house." 

Weekend( Saturday)

"Ifemi(my love) I'm going to pick mama up from the park and please clean up everywhere and cook some kind of heavy food, so she won't complain. You can see I'm helping you."

" Yes, helping me indeed. Come here so I can give you a kiss. Have a safe trip."

Dayo kissed his wife and left with his Range Rover.

" Let me call ify. Hello babe, can you imagine my husband said I don't clean up the house! This is what he saidooo Ada please clean up everywhere." " Just do as he says, so your so-called mother-in-law doesn't make your life a hell. When she throws, you also throw your own back and that's it." " I done hear you, let me go and cook some food and clean up. Chat later."

Ada cleaned up the entire house, cleaned up the bedroom, and even decorated the guest room. After she went and cooked jollof rice, her husband's favorite food, and efo riro with semolina and pepper soup. She then went to go and make iya gbemi dress.

3 hours later

" Ada we're back." Ada ran to her husband and then greeted her mother-in-law.  " E Kaasan ma." " Keep your greeting to yourself. See this child, she won't even help me carry my luggage." " Sorry ma, if I ask why do you need this much luggage? I thought you were only staying here for 2 days and you're going back?"

" Two days for what? Isn't this my son's house anymore. I can stay here as long as I like. ko dabi pe o ni ọmọ lati pe ọmọkunrin tabi paapaa ọmọbinrin kan." ( is not like you have a child to call a son or even a daughter)" Mama is ok, go to your room she'll bring your stuff and take a shower to."

Mama left for her room.

" Dayo you just heard what she said right? If I start my own, I'll be troublesome now."   Dayo started laughing. " Ada you know she's becoming old and she wants to see her grandchildren. Let's hurry up and give her one." " The Doctor said nothing is wrong with us. Am I God  that gives children biko? Can you see why I was complaining and this isn't just your house alone, lets get that clear!"

Ada dropped the luggage in the room and set up the dining table. Mama came out.

" Mama Dayo called, come and eat." " Okay, I'm coming.

They were about to eat when mama said " What kind of food is this? Who else is eating with us? Is this how you waste my son's money? " Mama just eat, you'd love the food. Ada is the best."  " This jollof rice is too spicy. This Efo riro isn't cooked properly. Let me just take this pepper soup and eat it in my room."

As she went into her room she started drinking the pepper soup like she hasn't tasted any in a long time.

" Dayo your mom is being headstrong and exasperating." " Let's just forget about today and take a shower and sleep, ok baby."  " Let's wait until tomorrow."
