Chapter 3
---You Done Screwed Up, Rozonda. You Done Screwed Up

Rozonda was very mad at herself.

Why wouldn't she have been?

K-Ci had blocked her and wasn't talking to her anymore.

And it was all her fault.

Now inevitably, K-Ci had been mad at her many times before and the other way around as well, but they had never broken up or anything before.

So this was serious.

She wasn't crying.

She wasn't upset or anything.

She was just mad.

She was resting her arm on the sofa as she was deeply contemplating her life as well as what had just happened between her and K-Ci.

Aka the events leading up to the breakup.

Kayshani really wanted to talk to her about everything, but at the same time, he was scared to do so because he was worried that K-Ci was still there.

After realising that he was clearly mistaken about this, Kayshani had then decided to talk to Rozonda about the whole situation.

"Hey, sis," Kayshani had muttered to her, sitting down right next to her on the sofa she was kind of lamenting over the loss of K-Ci on. "You OK?"

Now, yeah, there were plenty of other fish in the sea.

But how many of them were in a flipping amazing musical group known as Jodeci?

Not many, that was for sure.

So Rozonda really screwed up this time.

"Of course I'm not OK, Kayshani. K-Ci's really mad at me. He's blocked me on everything. I can't talk to him. My life is over!"

She had then started crying on her brother's lap, with Kayshani just staring down at her and sighing to himself.

Gosh, he really didn't want to be a part of this right now but at the same time? The kid kinda had no choice.

"Uhmm..." what to say, what to say?

That wasn't stupid anyway.

"Not tryna take sides or anything but why get yourself pregnant if you're just lowkey finna get an abortion later? Doesn't make sense."

Speak the truth, Kayshani.

His sister really needed to hear it.

And for someone who wasn't trying to take sides, he was clearly against Rozonda's side, though Rozonda couldn't really blame him.

She wasn't even sure if she was on her side, let alone Kayshani.

"I thought I could handle a baby but I couldn't," she had told him, Kayshani just staring at her. "The concept of having a baby seemed nice but then reality hit and now? It's not so great."

"Yeah, I think you were putting rose coloured glasses on or something when you wanted to get yourself pregnant. My best friend's sister currently has a baby, and she doesn't like it one bit. She has postpartum depression because of the crap she has to go through everyday. She doesn't hate the baby, but it's oftentimes too much hard work for her, so no disrespect, but I don't think you're ready for one yet, like you said."

Kayshani had then suggested going to the doctors together, because they hadn't actually talked to them about the whole thing.

The baby wasn't even born yet, come to think of it. Rozonda was only three weeks pregnant, there was barely a bump on her tummy.

She was more concerned about K-Ci getting into a new relationship with someone else though, moe than anything else.

"If K-Ci does do that, then it'll probably be a rebound relationship anyway, which don't usually last."

"They do. And I was supposed to go on tour with them today. They said that they were allowed to bring one guest and K-Ci wanted to bring me but not anymore."

Rebound relationships did last.

But it was very rare.

Plus K-Ci didn't want a relationship right now with anyone to be honest, as his tour with Jodeci was more important than that.

"Look, K-Ci's out of your life now and I know you hate everything about that, considering how he was a part of Jodeci and everything, but you've got to move on, Rozonda. Ion like seeing you like this."

Neither did she to be honest.

So she had hugged her brother tightly and vice versa as well.

Then they both simultaneously left the house and drove to the hospital together.

With Kayshani driving both of them there.
