"Nah, man!" Jojo had said to K-Ci, standing up from the sitting room chair he was sharing with DeVante and Dalvin. "It's a scam, fam! A hard scam."

"But what if it's not though?" K-Ci had told all of them, sighing. "What if Serenity Falls really is better than Jodeci? What then?"

K-Ci had been talking to the owner of Serenity Falls earlier on, who was known as Khyrese.

He wanted him to join his team but K-Ci didn't know what to do, and he only had three days to decide as well.

Three days was way too little time to decide on something as huge as this to be honest.

K-Ci genuinely needed like an entire week or year or something. But then again, Serenity Falls' tour had ended in three days.

Which was what Khyrese had told him anyway.

Three days and then they would have never seen each other again.

This was actually a very tough decision and he didn't know what to do right now.

Truth be told, K-Ci didn't even want to tell any of his teammates about this, as this was a very private matter which had only concerned him.

But he had figured that he had already kinda partially let them down- he had arrived at the tour late because he had broken up with Rozonda.

"What exactly did Khyrese say to you?" Dalvin wanted to know.

"He wants me to join the group, but I'm not sure why he chose me out of all of y'all, that's the thing," K-Ci deadpanned. "And I honestly don't know what to do. I mean, I wanna go but then I really don't wanna leave you guys at the same time."

DeVante, Dalvin and Jojo didn't really say anything to what K-Ci had just told them, as they had blankly looked at one another instead.

After moments of silence, with K-Ci just looking like he could have broken down any minute, DeVante had then suggested something.

Maybe Khyrese had talked to him because in one strange way or the other?

He knew about his break up with Rozonda.

"Yeah, but how though?" K-Ci wanted to know, slowly folding his arms as well as frowning at DeVante.

Nobody knew that K-Ci and Rozonda had broken up, as no one knew that they had a relationship to begin with.

K-Ci had only shared his private life with the group and nobody else, and they had done the same thing to him.

They seriously didn't need the need to broadcast everything for them, especially if they didn't want it to to begin with.

"Beats me." DeVante had replied unhelpfully. "Maybe he feels sorry for you or something."

This was a life changing opportunity.

But was it even an opportunity in the first place?

Or was everything just lowkey a scam?

That was the thing- K-Ci didn't want to be with a group that had felt sorry for him due to him breaking up with Rozonda.

But then again... what if they didn't feel sorry for him?

And they actually wanted the kid to join the group in the first place, with no strings attached?

Decisions, decisions.

Tricky decisions.

K-Ci sighed the largest sigh of his entire damn life.

Jojo and Dalvin simultaneously wanted to know why the group was called Serenity Falls in the first place.

With DeVante actually wanting to know the same thing too, come to think of it.

"Serenity was Khyrese's wife, who had sadly died last year due to colon cancer," K-Ci had explained. "She died in Autumn, aka the fall. Serenity Falls could also be a euphemism for her death. To fall is to like die, in a way... I guess. I researched all this before I spoke to you guys, 'cause I was curious too. Simple name with a deep and dark meaning."

But that didn't make his decision any easier.

Jojo and Dalvin were against K-Ci going there as they didn't know what Serenity Falls' true motives were with K-Ci.

But DeVante had told K-Ci that the decision was honestly up to him.

Was that supposed to make him feel better or something?

Because it didn't.

Just more stressed.

This was going to be a tricky decision in which K-Ci couldn't take.
