Practice

Tenten's POV

Two more days until the Winter Talent Fest and I'm here studying in an awkward room while Sasuke keeps teasing me and Neji. But I have to do this or I won't be able to go.

"Oh and one more thing. If this small project is not done but Friday, then you won't be able to attend the winter and Talent Fest." Kaka Sensei said as we all groaned.

"Neji, did you still not pick a topic?" I ask very annoyed .

"Well maybe you should help, if you want a topic so bad." He said back to me.

I rolled my eyes. We have not been on good terms ever since the incident. Actually, we pretty much stopped talking to each other. Neither of us is going to talk about that kiss.

"Hey Sakura, you want to stop at the store with me to get some meat buns?" I ask her .

Sasuke and Neji over here had come over to work on the project and those two already found a topic TOGETHER. I'm stubborn and petty, but that's the way I was born.

"No, me and Sasuke are almost done. You should........ya know.........Actually work with him." She said pointing at Neji.

I hmphed and turned away.

"You know, I can't do that. I'm not mentally ready to work with him." I pout .

"Do you not want to go to the Winter Talent Fest?" She asked me.

"Maybe." I mumble and then sighed.

"Fine, I'll do it."

I went closer to Neji and started talking to him about our topic. I actually had a topic as soon as he told us about the project but I didn't want to tell Neji.

See, petty right? I got it from my father.

We finished about three hours later and it was time for dinner. My stomach growled. MAn, I was hungry. I left Neji, Sakura, and Sasuke in the room and walked out.

Food. What a wonderful word. You know, I admire food very much. Today for dinner was meat buns. Just how I like it. I smelled it. Mh mh mh, that smells so good.

I was getting ready for a nice bite until........

"You're back already. Go away." I say to the person.

"What? How could you say that to your cousin?" He answered .

I smirked. I did miss Hidan. I actually would've hugged him if it wasn't for the rat next to him.

"Why is she with you?"

" Oh Karin? She led me here to you for an early let off of her suspension so she's going to be at the Winter Talent Fest. " Hidan answered. I frowned.

Oh why oh why oh why does my life......wait......why does life in general hate me? It's out to get me.

Karin walked away. At least, I didn't have to deal with her for this past week. Now for my meat buns. I turned around and faced the deliciousness.

It was beautiful. My mouth was watering from looking at it. I was going in for another bite when......

"Oh yeah cuzzo, Sakura told me to tell you to meet her in the gym. Something about practicing some dance and sing thingy." He said tapping my shoulder .

"Tell her I'll come later." I said picking up my meat bun to take a bite but he pulled me back.

"She said, it's urgent." He said shaking me.

"OK, I'M COMING. LET ME EAT!" I yelled grabbing my meat buns and walking away.

"Already on the time of that month huh?" I heard Hidan mumble.

If I wasn't so hungry, then I would've pounded him into the ground. I took the stairs because I felt like stomping and I didnt want to stomp in the elevator.

As I got there, I walked into the big gym and saw the guys and girls. I groaned. Just kill me now. Why are they here? I want to eat. I was about to sit on the side bench when Ino called me over.

"What is it?" I ask walking over there making sure my meat buns stay hot and fresh.

"Did we interrupt your dinner? Sorry you could eat it here." She said .

I sighed. I sat on the bench and was taking out my meat bun from the package. I was about to take a bit when I felt a bunch of eyes on me.

C'mon it's not going to be satisfying to eat if you stare at me like that. I put my buns away and got up.

"What Did you want Sakura?" I ask clearly annoyed.

"She's probably at the time of that month." Kiba whispered to Naruto thinking I didn't hear it. Naruto snickered.

Sakura cleared her throat and the boys stopped snickering at their stupid and childish joke.

"Well we decided to collab. " she mumbled the last part so I couldn't exactly hear it.

"What was that?"

" I said we decided to collab. " She said again whispering the last part.

I swear I thought I heard collab but she already knows how awkward it would be for me so she wouldn't do that.

"I still didn't hear you."

" She said that we're going to collab. " Neji said a little louder.

Maybe, I wasn't hearing right. I should get my ears checked later on. I need some hearing aids. So I tried to laugh it off.

"Ha! What do you mean collab? Collab for our project? OK, let's do it. " I say giving a thumbs up.

Temari holds my shoulders and pushes me back a little.

"Tenten, stop acting dumb. We mean for the Winter Talent Fest." She said .

I almost dropped my meat buns and I stared at her. Dead in the eye. No sign of lying or pranking me.

"Why?" I ask trying to keep calm but pushing Temari's hand off of me.

"W-well we haven't got much practice lately so we thought that it would be better if we danced and sang together.

" I don't want to do it anymore. " is what I would've said if they all were staring at me with those puppy eyes.

I sighed and groaned. Then I sucked my teeth for more effect showing how irritated I was.

"When is practice?" I smile .

Ino and the girls clapped a little while the boys smirked or laughed like Naruto and Kiba.

"Right now."
