( how I imagine Mrs Blooodrose to look like, maybe a bit older)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A knock on the door interrupts the boy's silence. Parker was still sitting on the floor with his head in his hands while Amaris stared at him curiously as if he was a science experiment. Mrs Bloodrose (Amaris' Mother) stepped in and immediately saw the scene. Scowling at Amaris, she shook her head, Amaris shrugged back as if saying 'i did my best'.
"Dear, I brought you some medicine. It'll make the attacks go away for a few hours." Mrs Bloodrose had a voice so soft and caring that Parker immediately trusted her. "Unfortunately, there's no permanent cure here, but we will try to find one."
Parker nodded, understandably and reached out to accept the vial of violet coloured liquid. He looked questioningly at Amaris who nodded his head in reassurance. Parker slowly lifted the vial up to his mouth and let the liquid pour down his throat.
Amaris watched in curiosity as he found something about Parker different, and it wasn't that he was a fairy.
"Mm hm" Mrs Bloodrose cleared her throat. "Amaris your Father wants to speak to you." She pointed out the door while looking seriously at Amaris. He nodded sternly and left the room silently, giving Parker one last guilty look.
"Now i assume you're very confused, right young boy?", Parker looked sadly up to the older women who sat down next to him on the floor. "I'm extremely sorry for what my son has done, young werewolves often have difficulty controlling themselves around fairies." Mrs Bloodrose explained slowly and clearly to Parker as if he was a toddler who had only just learned to speak.
Parker shook his head, "Thank you...for apologizing, Mrs..?." He said awkwardly, not sure what to say.
"Mrs Bloodrose, but you can call me Adolphine".
Parker nodded, "I'm just so confused this whole thing feels like a dream." Mrs Bloodrose laughed quietly, as if she found Parker's confession cute.
"You deserve an explanation I suppose, you're new to the magical world and that would make this situation very confusing." Parker nodded in agreeance, "well i guess i'll try to explain everything to the best of my abilities. To start off our pack, known as the Blood Moon pack, is made up of five families that have generationally stuck together like one big family. My husband, Athaulf, is the Alpha, he leads the pack on missions and acts as a kind of role model. Now, there are other packs, but most don't interact with each other, unless it comes down to territory, that's when things get messy." Mrs Bloodrose stopped, as if reminiscing on a memory.
"Werewolves aren't like how they are portrayed in stories, we can control when we turn, the only time we can't is in times of extreme anger and our inner wolf comes out involuntarily. On the full moon, our emotions and senses are heightened but we don't turn unless we want to. We eat normal human food and we aren't dangerous creatures, most of the time." Mrs Bloodrose looked over at Parker, making sure he was reacting okay.
Parker looked back at Bloodrose and breathed out slowly, "Okay... but Amaris said there were other magical creatures? Like what?". Mrs Bloodrose smiled at Parkers question, happy that he seemed comfortable and wasn't freaking out.
"Yes, there are others. Fairies for example, which you are, they look like humans but interact deeply with nature and have special powers that allow them to control nature, to some extent. They're endangered however, meaning there are few fairies left and those that do remain are usually found in the Fairy Kingdom which protects them."
Parker's mouth dropped open, "You're telling me I have powers?". He opened his eyes wide and looked down at his hands expecting lighting or a spider web to shoot out, suddenly very wary of his own abilities.
