Parker felt a wave of anxiety and nerves wash over him. He was worried about meeting more people, it was a lot to take in and he felt like an outsider to their pack. He trusted them though, it came naturally.

Amaris opened the door into the living room and let his Mother and Parker walk through before himself. Parker gave him a grateful smile and Amaris nodded in return with a stoic face.

The younger boy wondered why Amaris was so disconnected, even though he barely knew him, Parker could tell something had happened while he and Mrs Bloodrose had been talking.

"Parker, this is the pack. Everyone, this is Parker." Amaris announced to the room full of werewolves, who looked like humans, but were maybe more muscular and mysterious. "He's the half-fairy who I...scratched."

The room went into uproar. Every person in the room seemed to have an opinion, good or bad. Parker felt small at that moment. As if everyone was yelling at him. He knew they weren't but he couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty.

"Attention!" Boomed the loud voice of Mr Bloodrose, the alpha. "One person at a time please."

A tall man who seemed around the same age as the Alpha stood up and looked towards his leader.

"You know how dangerous it is, having a fairy around who has been attacked by one of us. If the council found out we'd be in serious trouble."

Parker looked at Amaris who stood next to him. "Who is the council?'. Amaris looked down at the boy and sighed.

"They are a group of Enchanters who make sure the magical world doesn't break any rules. Because your kind are endangered there's a law that states any creature who hurts or kills a fairy can face punishment. Lets just hope you don't die." Amaris stated coldly, acting like a completely different person than who he was when he was calming Parker down. Parker scoffed at Amaris' rudeness and crossed his arms.

Another werewolf stood up and asked, "Is there a cure for the disease caused by the scratch?".

"There is a cure. It is sought through an enchanter, so we will have teams on missions to find one. This needs to be done fast though, as the asguño de lobo is a fast spreading disease and results in the collapsion of the lungs..."

Parker gasped and looked at Amaris fiercely, he hadn't been told about this yet. Amaris looked in the other direction which made Parker angry, he didn't like being ignored.

But what Parker couldn't see was the guilty and stressed look on Amaris' face, which he desperately wanted to hide from the other boy.

"Any more questions that need to be answered can be asked to me, in private." Mr Bloodrose announced and directed his gaze apologetically to Parker, who was overwhelmed to say the least. The alpha gave the fairy boy a nod and retreated to his office, followed by all of the adult werewolves, waiting to ask more questions.

Mrs Bloodrose turned to face Parker, "I'll let you know anymore information when it's announced. For now, Amaris will show you around. Won't you?."

Amaris glared at his Mum, who raised her eyebrows in response. Sighing, the werewolf boy gave in to his Mother's wishes.
"Fine. Follow me." The older boy grabbed Parker's arm and dragged him further into the living room. Parker wiggled his way out of the other boy's grip and huffed in annoyance, rolling his eyes at the fairy, Amaris gestured to the room around them.

"This is our living room, it's where all five families that make up our pack hang out together. We have meetings and spend a lot of free time here. Our house is three stories so all the families can live peacefully and we reside in the forest to keep out of human sight." Amaris explained all this bluntly and quickly, making Parker listen carefully to each word he said.
