I've been out of school for a while now. I've been job hunting and nothing has clicked so far. I'm getting frustrated because I'm still dependent on my parents for a few things and that wasn't part of the plan.

I was lucky that I saved up a little bit of money in school so I was able to rent a studio apartment but it's becoming embarrassing having to collect monthly allowance from my parents still. I mean without it, I won't be able to eat or move around but it still makes me feel worthless.

I'm sitting on my bed watching a movie on a pirated site when an ad pops up. It's a job advertisement about a publishing company looking for an editor with a few years experience.

I know I don't have any experience whatsoever apart from one summer of interning in my aunt's company but I still took a chance on it.  I clicked on the ad and filled in the necessary information then I went back to watching Ian Somerhalder on my screen.

I figured I won't get a call back because I wasn't qualified for the job so I'm surprised when I get a mail from the company.

They want me to show up for a follow up interview. There's a number in the mail to call to schedule the date for it so I dial it.

A woman picks up and proceeds to tell me that there's a particular writer who is looking for fresh faces. He wants to delve into a new genre and is looking for someone with the skills for the job and is not interested in experience.

I figured my CV was top notch to be able to get this opportunity. I thank the stars above for actually listening to my dad when he was lecturing me on how to make my resume look good then I pick a date.

Apparently, I was the only one that stood out so far according to the person in charge so I was given the job on the spot.
I was ecstatic but a part of me was thinking it was too good to be true.

The interviewer started taking me around so excitedly that I find myself smiling at him. He's making me feel a little bit comfortable with his little jokes here and there.

He was taking me to my cubicle when we heard his name being called out.

We both turned to look back and I got stunned for the first time in my life.

My lips parted a little bit as I caught the glimpse of the most beautiful human I've ever seen.

He was wearing a navy blue suit with a black tie tucked in. The suit looked like it was made for him and only him. It molded to his body so well and I longed to touch him.

He came closer to us. He said hello to me and started chatting the guy beside me. I couldn't even hear what they were saying as I was just staring at his face.

His lips are full. His teeth are white. He has dimples in both cheeks which makes his smile more seductive. To me, if you have dimples when you smile, I automatically think you are ten times more attractive.

He has a little beard that makes him look a bit boyish but it looks so good on him. He has dark circles under his eyes and I'm wondering whether he gets enough sleep. Maybe it's because I'm studying him that I notice he looks a little bit tired but he still radiates enough energy that I'm sure other people won't notice.

He is distractingly beautiful and I'm enamored by his presence.

I hear him ask about whether they've finally found the editor and the interviewer points to me. I somehow find the courage to introduce myself but I'm sure I mumbled shyly.

He seems to understand my reaction and doesn't make fun of me. He tells me his name and says he's looking forward to work with me. Then he says goodbye to us.

I watch him walk away wondering what particular role he plays in the company and how I'll be able to compose myself working in close proximity with him.

TAYO

I wasn't supposed to come into work today but I finally finished writing last night and I came to drop off the manuscripts to my team.

I was on my way out when I saw Andrew from afar talking to a guy animatedly. Andrew is weird that way, he has this burst of energy that's so eccentric when he's around people

He's the baby of the office. Everyone loves him. I call his name out and they both turn my way. I notice that the guy beside him is cute as I walk up to them.

I wanted to say more to the new guy but I'm distracted by Andrew's rapid speech. He's talking so fast that I have to slow him down a few times as to understand what he's on about.

I listen to him for a few minutes then ask about the new editor. He points to the guy beside him and I finally get an introduction.

He talks so low that I had to listen closely to hear what he said.
He seems so nervous so I don't make him feel bad about it.

I stifle a yawn. I'm so exhausted. I haven't slept well for days and it's taking a toll of me. I feel dead on my feet.

I hurriedly say goodbye and leave. No point dwelling. I know I'll get to see him again since he now works here.
