Tobi and I have been together for few months now. We didn't find it difficult to move from friendship to a relationship because it has always been deeper than that right from the beginning.
Our first night together, we finally woke up few hours later and had the talk. He confessed his feelings for me and I confessed mine.
He joked on how he had planned to only have a conversation with me and got carried away. I explained to him why I was scared to make a move. I showed him the plan I wrote down for him at the beginning of our friendship but never really used.
We spent Valentine's Day together. We exchanged gifts. The L word hasn't been said yet but I already know I love him. I'm just waiting for him to connect the dots in his head too.
We still have a long way to go. He has trust issues from his past relationships. We're basically hiding our relationship from his parents and the world. He's worried he's stopping me from being my true self because he brought me back in the closet.
I assure him every single day that it's okay. I'm here for him. I'm ready to stay until he's ready. No one needs to know our business anyway. My dad knows about us and that's all that really matters to me. It's not like we live in a country where it's safe to hold hands in public so it's not a problem regardless.
I turn him over so his back is to my front. He says it's his favorite position. It makes him feel loved. I kiss the back of his head and hold him as we both fall asleep hoping the world will be good to us someday.
