Chapter 9: The Boy and The Stopwatch (Part 1)

~Flashback~(age: 9)~

"Five, I'm here." I whisper, softly knocking on the door. The door opens, revealing Five "Finally! Come on!" He whispers, yanking me inside his room "Why are you in such a-" I look behind Five to see Allison smirking at us "I knew it."

I smile at her awkwardly "Ally, what are you doing here?" I ask, tilting my head "I asked her to come." Five says, pulling me into a hug. I panic and pull out his grip before gently patting his head, Allison laughs "It's ok, (Nickname). Five told me already." She states.

Five nods "I thought we weren't supposed to tell anyone..." I say, crossing my arms. "We weren't, but then I had an idea." Five tells me "And it was kinda obvious anyway." Allison teases. I blush a little before looking at Five "So what was you're idea?" I ask. "I'll show you! Allison?" Five gestures to Allison. She takes a deep breath before using her powers

"I heard a rumor.......your powers are connected by a kiss."

After a few seconds, Five and I snap out our trance "What did you do?" I ask "Why don't you find out," She giggles before slowly walking out the room "You're welcome by the way!" I look at Five in confusion "Five-MMPH!" I grunt when Five pulls me into a kiss.

I gasp with a blush on my cheeks "I wanted our first kiss to be special." Five chuckles, blushing as much as I was. "I think a first kiss is special in general." I joke, Five smirks "Oh really? I think this make it more special." He states

"What are you-"
"Shh, just watch."

Five picks up a pencil off his desk and tosses it up into the air "Pause." The pencil stops in the air. I gasp "How?" I ask, Five smirks "I asked Allison to rumor us so we'll always be connected." He tells me.

I smile at him "So I have your powers?" I ask, grinning widely "I feel like I'm gonna regret saying yes." Five chuckles. I laugh before teleporting around his room.

"So.....we've been married for 40 years?" I ask, kicking a rock "Yeah, those years the best years of my life." Five says, a faint smile on his face.

I smile a little too, Harper will freak out when she's find out that-

"OH S***!"

Five looks at me surprised as I stop in my track "What's wrong?" He asks, quickly running to my side. "I left Harper with Klaus and Ben! She's gonna kill me! I've been gone for at least a day and a half!" I scream, Five eyes widen for a second "Harper...." He whispers.

"I'm sorry Five, but I need to get her!" I sigh with a sad look in my eye. His expression mirrors mine "Ok...." Five says before turning away "Ok?" I ask nervously as Five scribbles something down on a sheet of paper.

"When you find Harper, go with her to this address. It's kinda like our base."

I nod "Thank you, Five." I say softly before he grabs my arm "Just......promise me you'll come back to me." Five says with a pained look in his eyes. I smile weakly "I promise." I tell him, Five lets go and pulls me into a kiss, but a longer one. "The longer the kiss, the longer the connection." He tell me, I smirk playfully "Or you just wanted to kiss me again." I tease.

Five scoffs with a smile on his face "Just go." He says and I run off "PAUSE!" I shout.

~Flashback~(Age: 12)~

"She's never gonna get any stronger if you keep babying her!"
"Protecting her is not babying her!"
"Oh please, you never let her fight her own battles!"

Luther and Five were fighting.....

And it was all my fault.

"Maybe I am weak....." I sigh, sitting in between Klaus and Ben (AKA, my protectors when Five wasn't around)

Klaus scoffs and shoves me playfully "Nah, Luther's just pissed because everyone like you better than him. Even Dad likes you better!" He says proudly. Ben rolls his eyes before wrapping an arm around me "Don't worry (Nickname), you know how Luther gets sometimes." He says gently "But we used to be best friends..." I pout, crossing my arms "He doesn't deserve your friendship!" Klaus screams.

"ENOUGH!"

The room goes quiet at the sound of Dad's voice "What is going on in here?" He asks. "Five keeps babying Eight." Luther says, crossing his arms "Stop calling me Eight!" I snap. Everyone looks at me surprised "What are you gonna do about it, Number Eight?" Dad asks, raising an eyebrow.

Luther does the same "Yeah Eight." He scoffs "Get off Dad's d***!" I yell, earning a laugh from Klaus and a gasp from everyone else. "Number Eight, go to your room." Dad snaps, I huff and walk up the stairs.

I'm kinda numb to the random flashes of memories, but that one caught me off guard. "Focus, (Y/N). Just find Harper." I tell myself.

I suddenly feel real light and I ended up at Klaus' place "Wow....that's what teleporting feels like." I chuckle as the blue glow fades from my hands. I make my way to Klaus mansion, but there were people everywhere! "Klaus, what did you do..." I sigh "I guess I was always the twin with common sense."

~Flashback~ (Age: 13)~

"I don't know if this is a good idea, Five..." I sigh, staring at the floor. Five frowns and takes my hand "Come, (Y/N)," He huffs, resting his head on my shoulder "You time travel with your powers all the time! I just want to try with mine. I promise I'll come back." I look at him with a worried look.

"But Dad said..."
"Since when do you care about what Dad said?!"

I flinch at the loudness of his voice, Five sighs "I'm sorry.....I'm sorry...." He says, rubbing my back. I look at Five "You really wanna time travel?" I ask quietly "Yes." Five says with a hopeful tone. I squeeze Five's hand softly.

"I'm coming too."

"What? (Y/N), you don't have to-" "I want to," I tell him "Wherever you go, I go." Five smiles softly before pulling me into a kiss "Ok, we'll try tomorrow," He says before teleporting me to my room "Love you." Five hugs me close and I smile nervously

"Heh, love you too."
