"c'mon samantha, you have to go now!" mom called from the floor below me

"im coming" i replied, giving my friends one last round of hugs.

everyone was here today, Jeremy, Callie, Chris, even my dad was here. i wiped my eyes, hoping for the best on my travels as Chris squished me into a bone crushing hug. he nuzzled his face into my neck. i heard Jeremy scoff, so i pulled away. everyone grabbed a bag and carried them downstairs, one per person, besided Chris, he took two because he was the strongest. we put them all in the trunk of the car and dad shut it.

"by Sam, im gona miss you, try to have fun and forget about me" chris said pulling me into a quick hug

"i couldnt forget about you even if i wanted to" i smiled, using his grey t-shirt to wipe of my eyes.

"well, im glad you dont want to, babe. ill miss you" he whispered into my ear, lips moving softly against my tender skin.

i pulled away, not capible of handling any more of him. Callie grabbed my hand dragged me towards her, giving me a huge bear hug. a sob escaped between her lips as her head rested on my shoulder. "i cant believe your going to be gone for 6 months!"

"i know, i cant believe it either" i wound a peice of hair around my finger, distracing me from the present.

"bye love" she kissed my hair and left from my embrace.

my mom was next "bye Samantha," she said giving me a small squeaze. she pulled away quickly and almost ran into the house, her shoes click-clacking all the way up the sidewalk.

"sorry about her" Jeremy came crawling over to me

i practially jumped into his arms when he was close enough to me. he squished me into a tight hug, so tight i was gasping for air over his shoulder. "im gonna miss you so much Sammy. you have no idea" he said with a sad voice

"ill miss you too, jer." he started to pull away, but i pulled him ack, just close enough to kiss his cheek. it immediatly turned a cute shade of pink

"thank you"

"so you always have something to remember me by" i winked at him and blew my friends all a kiss as i got in the car

"you got everything babe?" dad asked pulling the last bag from the trunk.

"yeah i think so" i nodded grabbing hold of two rolly bags and my purse. dad held the others.

we walked up the ramp onto the ship and my knees started to wobble as i looked over the railing out into the shining sea. i had to break my vision, bringing myself back together so i could continue walking. as we passed off of the bridge, i reached out and touched the side of the boat. i always did it when i got on a plane, thinking it was what was saving me from crashing. maybe it would have the same effect, or not, but there was no hurt in trying right? once we were inide, i got a good look around. there were a couple tables scattered around with various signs hanging over them and tons of people running around franticly. i looked up at the signs, reading off the wording. one said 'guests A-H' another had 'guests L-0' 'guests P-Z' and the last one said 'Students'. i started walking over to that table because i was going to attend the sea school for 6 months. my dad followed behnd me closely as to not lose each other in the crowd.

we stood in line behind about 6 other kids around my age and their families. a girl with a pixie cut turned around in line to smile at me. a gave her one back and she turned back around, satisfied. i shrugged it off, hoping that everyone else that i would be around was as nice as her. soon enough i was at the front of the line and the lady who was sitting at the table handed my dad a peice of paper. she pointed to three places he had to sign and one for me. i read through it. basically all it said was that i was responsible for what i did and they had a right to send me home at my parents expense. i quickly signed it and the lady handed me a key
