"and the winners are," Mrs. Harper was finishing off the morning announcments with who were going to the sea school next week "from Mr. Karter's homeroom we have Allison Simmons. From Mr McDronnel's homeroom we have Peter Dowery. From Ms. Morton's homeroom we have Daniel O'Riley. From Mr. Person's homeroom we have Hannah Harter. and lastly we have Shannon Dylan from Mrs. Williams homeroom. if you see any of them in the halls today or if they in your classes, congradulate them. the sea school is a huge honor and a once in a lifetime opportunity. congrats guys!" she turned off of the intercom and i let out a huge sigh.

"im sorry, Sam, i knew how much you wanted to get rid of all of us" callie gave me a sympathetic smile.

"it's okay, Cal, its not your fault. i guess ill have to spend the rest of the year with all of my weird friends that i love so much!" i reached over and squished Jeremy's head into my chest, giving him a friendly hug

"i know, but i know that you just wanted to get on the boat to get away from your mom and Jake"

"very true. i guess i need to spend more time with her"

"yeah, right like that will actually work" Callie scoffed. "she always twlls you to leave you alone so that she can finish her work, that she is constantly not finished with. its like my brothers room. hes always working on it, but nothing ever changes. no offence or anything, but do you really think thats gonna happen?" she said halfheartedly, looking down at her phone, but then typing madly on it

"your right"

she looked up at me for a second "i know i am"

"what are you doing on there" i asked, leaning over her desk to peer down at her phone

"playing that stupid pig game. i still cant figure it out"

"angry birds?" i laughed "you dont tap at it, Callie. you pull your finger back and let go"

"ive tried that!" she pouted "show me again"

i beat three more of her levels before handing her phone back to her. "you're lucky im still here" i giggled

"whatev- ooh i killed one!"

"shh. Callie Harrison, phone away now"  Ms. Crost was pretty chill with the rules, but if we disrupted her she could get pretty mad "still playing that stupid game i see"

"yeah, i still cant get the hang of it. Sam killed like 12 of the stupid pigs in like three minutes and ive been on the same level for like, five days" at that everyon burst out laughing "its not funny" she cried out

"okay, thats enough guys. phones away, notes out. today were talking about Tom Sawyer!" that was the cue for me to take a nap.

"Sam, will you come to my office after you're done eating?" Mrs. Harper asked as she passed by my lunch table.

"uh, sure?" the way i said it, made it come out more like a question

"ooh, someones in trou-ble" Jeremy poked my shoulder.

"nah, its probs just about Chem. i think im failing"

"hon, if she called everyone in there that was failing Chemistry, you wouldent be able to breath without pushing your boobs into someone"

"nice anagram" i grimaced

"i think you mean analogy, princess" Chris said, sliding into the tin space between Jeremy and I

Jer huffed and went to dump his trash. Chris moved over, making the space a little less tight. i mean, with Chris' huge shoulders, its hard not to be tight in any situation. it didnt help that Jeremy wasnt half as built as my crush. Chris pushed a peice of my wavy hair behind my ear and pressed a small kiss to the tip of my cheekbone. everyone stared with their mouths gaping open at the tender move he just made.
