"Ughh it's so heavy... but I got this, not much further- heeegh..." Lily struggles in the deepened but fresh snow from yesterday's snowstorm, very slowly dragging a smaller Popo behind her on a makeshift sled of tree bark as she wheezes and grunts on her menu related mission. The young lady knows all too well that her compatriot is waiting for some camp-cooked meat, and a dish is a dish after all.
"Almost... there..." One last groaning tug, and she pulls it into the entrance of the campsite, and whistles in a similar manner to calling her Mernos when leaving to explore- a high note then a drop to a low, keeping an eye out for Seren as she takes a breather before prepping the carcass before her.

A rush of freezing wind cuts through for a moment as Lily shields her eyes with the Popo's body, and she swears she could hear a chuckle amongst the howling breeze as she also has a slight laugh, realizing who was behind it and being dramatic. "Jeez... no need to show off, Seren. Told ya I could get it by myself!" Oh hm, maybe she thought I slayed it on my own though...

The Bariothic woman ambles over, sniffs the still body before her and gives an approving nod before the Handler continued, prepping the creature. "Though I didn't really get it myself, I have to admit- a Beotedus got chased off by a Banbaro on the way through here, so when it didn't come back, I took the little guy for myself. Survival of the fittest though, right?" Seren looks softly at the petal-pink outfit for a moment, concerned that it was as delicate as it appeared.

"And it's fresh too, a good catch there Flashfly. Didn't tear your fancy clothes or anything?"
"Oh no, it's able to protect against a few monster attacks, it's uh, normally Hunter armor but one of my Hunter girlfriends lent me one in my size, she lets me borrow her hairclips sometimes in return for use of my hairbrush."
Lily rambles for a moment while continuing prep, carving off meat from the Popo to cure for the other Hunters and Handlers to use in the camp later, and leaving four large portions of Popo-chops over on the side to cook.

"Girls gotta look out for each other after all! Luckily it's also easily washable if I get any blood on me. I'll be right back to wash my hands in the stream nearby... don't eat any of the chops, I can't cook them then!" She rushes off to clean herself for a moment as Seren curiously investigates a small object with a strap around it that had fallen out of Lily's bag, nudging it with her fangs and attempting to pick it up with her claws while her companion was preoocupied.

Just as the little woman turned around again after the food had been cooking a few minutes, gasping and snatching it out of Seren's grip in a slightly panicked manner before having an apologetic face.
"Oh! What was that for Lily, did I do something wrong? Sorry?"

Lily shakes her head before holding it out, in her hands it was considerably large, too big for a human- with an embroidered Sapphire Star on the front, lined with soft furs on the inside. " No no- I'm sorry for grabbing it like that... I was uh, saving it as a surprise till after we ate the food, but I guess it's not a surprise anymore huh?
The Handler girls and I made this with the help of the lady at the forge back in Seliana, though all I did was draw the star shape- I'm no good at sewing." Her eyes slowly look around the landscape for a moment, as though she was unsure of what to say, or how to say it.

"They're the ones that made it so pretty with the tiny glass beads scattered in it... I thought it'd help us identify you from a distance as an ally and that you'd like some kind of protection. I snuck in a spare Attack Charm as the attachment, to make your attacks a little tougher! Though I don't know if it works for monsters... at the very least it'll be a pretty piece on it... what I'm trying to say is uh, do... you like it?" She asks as she pulls out polished wooden dishes and grabs the cooked meat as the shorter woman brings the food over, after garnishing it with a little salt. Simple seasonings, so not to upset Seren's stomach.

Seren sits in a doglike fashion while they ate, as though taken aback by the kindness, with her fanged mouth hanging open slightly in appreciative wonder once finished the meal. "It's... for me? Wow... I didn't know humans could make such pretty things..."
The Barioth looks at the object for a moment from different angles, admiring the craftsmanship behind it- and then gets a bit of a funny expression on her face, though not one of anger and instead confusion.

"I do like it, don't get me wrong... but I uh, don't think I can put it on by myself... could you...?" She gently bows her head with the tip of her tail twitching, and as Lily got closer; she noticed two especially little ears peek out almost shyly from the head of thick, off-white hair she sported, which the Handler took care not to brush or bump in case Seren's ears were sensitive as she leaned in to fit the eyepatch onto her companion.
