chapter three

hyunjin and i are currently at a diner. he refused for minho to come along and told me, "he'll wait in the car whether you or he likes it or not."

i huffed and crossed my arms thinking about it all over again. i haven't even talked to this guy properly and i already hate him.

"you have to pay me, you know." he suddenly said after being quiet for a few minutes.

i looked at him as if he was crazy, and i honestly think he is, "what the hell do i need to pay you for?"

"well, first you embarassed me by making me think you're roxy and-"

"what?" i cutted him off, "i did not embarass you, okay? i told you that you got the wrong number but you still kept texting."

"don't interrupt me while i'm talking!" he yelled, looking at me as if he were about to kill me. "you also made me crack my phone and now you have to pay."

i glared at him, "pay how much?"

"a million."

what the hell is this guy on? a million won to repay a little crack on his phone? "are you crazy!? i don't even have that much money."

"how come you're in our school?" he asked, but then he immediately said something again. "oh, right. you're the sleepy nerd. nerd equals scholarship."

he took out two pieces of paper and a pen, scribbling some words down very quickly if i say so myself. i'd be surprised if his writing looks alright. "since you can't pay me what i'm asking for, let's make a deal."

"...okay? what kind?"

he continued writing down for a few minutes and then looked up at me again. he said, "you just read a ton of messages that wasn't meant for you. that makes you know a lot about me that nobody but the people i care about know." bold of you to assume that i read your messages, mister. they're all inboxed.

then, he turned the paper around so that it's facing me the right side up but he still continued talking, so i couldn't read it yet because i wouldn't be able to comprehend what he's saying if i do. i suck at multitasking when someone else is talking.

"so," he tapped on the paper, "you have to do this for me instead of paying me what I'm asking for." and it read:

CONTRACT DEAL

because you can't pay me a simple million won, you have to help me get back with Roxy by pretending to be my girlfriend.

what can i say, this guy is out of his mind.
