Soundwave's POV

I watched looked at the computer screen in absolute horror. I had activated all security cameras and found one thing that was off the hook. My Sire had escaped from his cell. The bars were twisted and bent into a shape. A heart. I shivered and ejected Laserbeak, who was getting restless at the raw fear and terror that came off me in waves. He nuzzled me gently. My hands quaked and shook, my emotionless facade slipping. Small whimpers escaped my lips, and the few Eradicons stared at me in shock.

I held Laserbeak close, and vowed to myself that I'd keep him alive. If absolutely necessary, I'd sent him through the air vents to go retrieve Ravage and flee. My Sire did not know that Ravage was even alive. A commotion started in the halls, and I faintly heard my Sire's dark chuckles in the back of my helm.

I cowered near my computer and held Laserbeak tighter, as the troops prepared for a fight. I hesitantly changed my servo into a blaster, and shakily held it up to the door. It seriously took a lot of guts to face your long gone, abusive Sire. The door shuddered. Laserneak tensed. It shuddered again, then stopped. I relaxed a little, until a yell rang out and two grappling figures burst through the door. Megatron and my Sire punched and bit. A full out battle. Eradicons and other troops fired at my Sire, but he was having none of it. My Sire snarled and revealed claws that put Starscream's to shame. My Sire expertly slashed at Megatron's chassis, and pressed a cable down on the back of the warlord's neck. Megatron went limp, being temporarily offline.

"Soundwave, my mech! Where's the warm welcome?" My Sire taunted. I growled. He sauntered towards me, completely ignoring the blasts hitting him on all sides. Laserbeak made a hissing noise and scrambled out of my arms. ::Laserbeak! Go get Ravage and escape! Go to the Autobots!:: I commanded. The cassette looked hesitant, but after looking at me once, he obeyed and fled to the air vent. I turned to my Sire. The huge navy blue mech was right before me, sneering. "So your little bird friend ran and hid?" He mocked. "I beat your leader and your bird friend. You are no more. Useless now. Come with me and suffer less if you stay quiet."

I shook my head, refusing. My Sire's expression turned to that of rage. He grabbed me by the throat and slammed me into the wall again and again. My vision swam. Then,  the wall broke, and my Sire and I spiraled to the ground below.

Optimus' POV

I listened quietly to the soothing sounds of the children's laughter. Jack, Miko, and Raf. They were all playing video games, and I was humored by Ratchet's annoyed grumbling at the monitor. Arcee and Bulkhead were out on patrol and were due to come back any moment now. Bumblebee was cheering on Raf by the TV. So far, there have been no Decepticon attacks this week and everyone was at ease. June was also coming by later to check in.

Although all was alright now, I couldn't shake the feeling something was off. Today just didn't seem right, it was 'off the chart' as Jack had once said. I stood by the Ground Bridge anxiously, waiting for something. I do not know what, but something is going to happen. Something big.

Bumblebee's POV

I cheered again. Raf won! I knew all this practice would pay off for him one day! I patted his back in pride. Suddenly, Ratchet stepped back from his monitor on shock, "By the Allspark..."  I looked over, and the kids paused their games. Optimus tensed, and we all made our way over to the monitor.

"An energy source and a message," Ratchet started. "Who's it from! Who's it from!" Shouted Miko. "If you'd let me finish, I would have said that the message is from Ravage, Soundwave's cassette-" "And how is this so important?" Interrupted MIko. "Once again, if you'd let me finish, the message says that  Soundwave is in desperate need of help," "So?" Miko asked. "Prepare the Ground Bridge..." Optimus ordered. Ratchet stomped his pede. "Urg!  Ravage's supposed to be offline, or in your terms, dead."

Soundwave's POV

I struggled against my Sire's hold. We fell through the sky, the wind whipped through my armor, and it chilled me to the core.  I forcefully kicked my Sire in the chassis, pushing him away from me long enough to transform into my alt form and speed towards the ground.

I heard the unmistakable clicks of gears and armor rearranging themselves. I looked behind me, and almost fell out of the sky. A huge airplane soared in my direction. My Sire had an alt mode! I turned to look in front of me again, but it was too late. I slammed head on into the desert sands below.
