Y/N Y/L/N was just a normal child living in London with her two normal parents. That is until a strangely dressed woman arrived at their doorstep with a letter. An acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After that moment, Y/N's life changed forever.

At platform 9 3/4, Y/N meets a young boy with white-blonde hair and silver eyes. He smiles as he approaches her.

"Hello, this is my first year and by the looks of it, it's yours, too. I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy," he says with his hand outstretched. Y/N takes his hand and shakes it.

"I'm Y/N Y/L/N and you're right, it is my first year. I'm a bit nervous..." she replies.

"Don't worry, my family has been attending Hogwarts for generations. I can show you around," he says and Y/N smiles appreciatively. Just then a tall man with long white hair walks up to Draco and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Draco, who is this little girl?" he says, completely ignoring Y/N in front of him. Draco's attitude completely changes from friendly and extroverted, to quiet and nervous.

"She's a first year, like me. Her name is Y/N Y/L/N." Draco says, without looking up at the man. The man, who Y/N now understood was Draco's father, turns to Y/N.

"Y/L/N? I don't recognize that name. Who are your parents?" he asks. Y/N points over to her parents that are a few steps away. Her parents are looking around, looking clueless and dressed in muggle clothes. Draco's father makes a face and turns back to Y/N with a sneer. His hand on Draco's shoulder tightens and guides him away from Y/N without a chance to say goodbye.

"She's a muggleborn, Draco. A mudblood. You must stay away from those kinds of wizards and witches because they are beneath you. Never forget your pureblood lineage." Y/N can hear Draco's father whisper as they walk off. That is the last time Draco and Y/N talked.

Despite the confusing interaction with Draco and his father on the train platform, Y/N's day continued to be filled with magic. When the Sorting Hat was placed on her head it immediately yelled, "Hufflepuff!" The room erupted into applause and while walking to the Hufflepuff table, Y/N felt like she truly belonged.

Y/N experienced the best years of her life. She immersed herself in her studies, learning everything she could about her new world. Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor girl of the same year, became a good friend after many long hours studying in the library. Through Hermione, Y/N met Harry Potter (who apparently was quite famous in the Wizarding World) and Ron Weasley.

Over the years, Y/N made so many precious memories. Trips to Hogsmeade, pulling pranks with the Weasley twins, Hogwarts during the Holidays, the Yule Ball. But with all these happy memories came danger and pain.

The rumors that spread fear about the opening of the Chamber of Secrets, the Triwizard Tournament that ended with the death of fellow Hufflepuff, Cedric Diggory, and the Dementors that sucked the happiness from the school grounds. And that wasn't the end. Muggleborn wizards and witches started to become targeted by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Even the Ministry of Magic started the Muggle-Born Registration Commission that kept Muggle-borns imprisoned.

Luckily, Y/N and her family were able to escape having to register and went into hiding. Because she was in hiding, Y/N had to miss her 7th year at Hogwarts, much like Harry, Hermione, and Ron. After the Battle at Hogwarts and the end of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission, Y/N was finally able to come out of hiding and, just like Hermione, return to Hogwarts to make up her 7th year and to complete her N.E.W.T.S. During that year, Hermione and Y/N rekindled their friendship after a long time apart and decided to pursue jobs at the Ministry of Magic together.

Y/N could have never expected what would happen, what she would have to endure, and what she would find, in the coming times.
