Felt the smoke of the train and heard the families saying goodbye to their children, I've waited two long months to be here again.
Most students love vacations and can't wait to come home, but not me, it isn't enough that I always spend them at my house, my mother isn't the best person to be around.
-Are you sure you got everything you needed?- she asked me- I do not want to have to bring you anything.
-Yes mother, everything is here.- She sighted with that "you're a disappointment" look that is reserved just for me.
Suddenly I felt someone jumping on my back and hugging me. I was never a big hugger, and everyone knows that, there's only one person who is allowed to give me these big bear hugs. I turned around and was face to face with Melissa, her blond hair got even shinier and longer during the vacation, but her smile was still the same from the first day I met her.
-I'm soooo excited Bella, you have no idea. Our third year is going to be great, I can just feel it.
-I really hope it's better than the last one. I know how terrified you were with all of that basilisk thing last year.
-I mean, we do have a murderer on the loose, but it's not like he's going to go straight to our school right?
-Yeah, sure.- My mother made a little sound with her throat and we turned to her.
-Oh! Hi miss Silvestro! I didn't see you there.- she gave my mother a big smile which she responded with a strange face.
-Darling, the Malfoys are coming, be nice.- she opened a smile and her eyes told me I should do the same.
The best part of this summer was not seeing Draco at all. We always spent every vacation together and I just hate him. It has just been like this since we were little, we simply can't stand each other.
I put a fake smile on my face and look in the direction my mother is looking, hoping to see his usual hair soaked in gel, he is just turning to be like his father, and trust me, it's not a compliment. Instead I'm face to face with an improved version of him, his hair has changed and he has gotten a lot taller in just a couple of months. You could even say he got handsome, but just a little bit.
-Hello Magnolia, Bella.- Narcissa said, I like her, she was always so nice to me, if only she hadn't married a douchebag like Lucius- How are you doing?
-Just fine, how was your summer?
-I wished you two visited us, but it was pretty great. Aren't you going to say hi Draco? Don't be rude.
-Hi Bella.- his voice had also changed, it was just like puberty had hit him like a hippogriff.
-Draco. Nice to see you didn't die in a very terrible and painful way.
-Bella! Please have manners. I am so sorry, I have no idea what happened to her.
-Mother, can we please go now? The train is going to leave soon, and I would like to get a cabin.- I said.
-Yes, sure. I'll see you next summer.- She started a conversation with Lucius and Narcissa and simply forgot I was there. I mean, it's not like I hoped for a hug or anything, but she could at least pretend.
-You still have no manners, I guess some things never change.- Draco said to me with a little smirk.
-And you are still smaller than me, I guess that never changes either. Have you practiced your duelling abilities this summer? I would hate to kick your ass so easily as last year.
-Hum, Bella?- Melissa said in a hesitant voice- I-I think we should go inside.
-Yeah, let's go find Meg and Angelina. See you later Malfoy.
