Chapter One
"Die! Die! Die!" Marie screamed at the top of her lungs, her eyes bulging with sinister, her heart racing with anticipation. "Bitch, get off me! Die! You deserve it!" She screamed even louder. "blood suckers! Do I look like meat to you? DIE!"
"Marie! Stop that!" her mother shouted from the kitchen, for the umpteenth time, getting ignored, again.
"this is so wrong in so many levels." a voice whispers in her ear, from beside her making her jump in fright, in turn dropping her phone on the couch.
Marie turned around with a slap to the culprit's cheek.
"how many times have I told not to spook me like that! Don't you ever sneak up on me like tgat again!" she shouted at her brother Jude.
Her brother groaned, feigning hurt though her slaps are usually harmless and they felt more like pats, but an annoying habit of hers. "It's not my fault your senses are dead!" her brother started goading at her, moving away, knowing very well that the comment would irk her.
And it did, coz the next thing he knew, a vase was flying right at his face, moving in time, missing him by a mere inch.
"ow!" was what they heard with the vase breaking. "not again!"
Her mother came out of the kitchen standing in the doorway. "is that the vase I bought last week?" Marie saw her mother say furiously.
Marie smiled awkwardly picking up her phone from the couch, "oops!" she says not really meaning it, before sitting down and resuming her zombie roadkill game. "witch! Die! Die!" she continued nonchalantly.
Her mother just shook her head. She was probably referring to her. Whatever she did to deserve such an insolent child. She heads back to the kitchen.
Jude, the older brother chuckles finding her sister's antiques to be amusing.
"dude! I just got hit!" his best friend and beta Hans, said pointing to the red mark on his head, trying to gain some sympathy.
Jude only rolled his eyes at him. "leave the drama to the experts, man. Call someone to clean that up!" he orders, walking away.
"but it hurt!" Hans whined.
"You're a high ranking wolf, what will the ladies say if they saw you now?!" Jude shouted as his voice faded with distance.
Marie stops playing and looks at Hans who straightens and calls, "Ally!" the girl runs through the door immediately as though she was just waiting outside the door. Pathetic. Omegas are pathetic.
"clean this up!" he orders acting all macho and showing his dominance. "when you're done get me a coke!" He then goes and plops himself on the sofa putting his feet up. All this time, Marie giving him a watchful eye.
He looks up at her sensing her glare, "do you want something, sweets?"
Hans knew better than to use pet names on her. "as a matter of fact I do." the smile she gave him, brought him chills.
Hans eyes widen recognising the low patronising tone she just used. This is usually followed by something violent!
He quickly stood up, "uuuh, I think the alpha just called." he said standing up quickly, pointing to his head. "Park stuff." he said, awkwardly edging away, backwards, almost tripping on his feet, before taking off running, full speed!
"yeah, you better run, dog!" she shouted after him.
She started playing again but the clunking sound was just so irritating! What does someone has to do to get some peace around here!
"Allison!" she called calmly to the girl sweeping glass, who lifts her head up from her task. "GET THE HELL OUT!" She screams making the girl skitter as though the devil was chasing after her.
She heard her mother sigh all the way from the kitchen, coming out again, looking at her apprehensively.
"Don't!" Marie warned before she opens her mouth. "whatever you think you have to say, save it mother! I'm not interested." and back to her game it was.
"how will you live without talking or socialising with other people?" she heard her mother whisper to herself before going back to the kitchen.
Marie felt sorry for her mother for having a daughter like her, but then again, she really didn't, she was a product of society, a society her mother was part of. They all contributed to what she had become.
