I wanna know your secrets at night,
while you hold a telephone
murmuring words I could never hear
words you never shared to me.I wanna know the person behind the phone,
are they making you cry?
are they making you laugh?
are they loving you more?
are they better than me?
are they everything I'm not?No,
I'm not gonna wish to be the other person on the line.I wanna be the phone you hold,
I can even be the wind—
the wind that carries your deepest secrets
the wind that carries the reasons for your cries
the wind that warms you up,
when you're cold at night.I want to listen to you,
understand you,
love you even more
but most importantly,
I want to know
if you tell the other person on the line
"I don't love him anymore".Your whispers kept me up all night
then each morning I wake up
with fear in my heart.
But know that I am ready—
Ready to stop being everything for you.For you are my everything
that makes me nothing.____
