Music to my ears (tsukishima kei x oc)

"good news and bad news. your ankle is fully healed! the bad news is that you can't play professional in risk of getting injured again. you can always join a small town team if you want, or you can always coach a small team." the doctor informs me.

"i-i understand doctor... t-thank you." i say and get up to leave, giving him a bow. i new that my injury was too severe to ever fully play again so it doesn't upset me much.

i get to the volleyball gym at nekoma and opened the door. i walk over to where my team is, which is in a match.

"hey i'm back." i say feeling my confidence coming back to me at the knowledge of being able to play again. i set my volleyball bag down. "can i get subbed in, my doctor says im aloud to play practice matches. "that's great to hear! ill sub you in now." the coach says as he gets up to sub me in.

*beep*

"number 5 subbed for number 14"

the ref said.

the whole team looed up to see me getting subbed in. "yessss nyoko-chan beat their ass'!" tanaka says as we swap.

"you bet!" i say as i make my way to position 2 (front court, right side in front of the serving position). 

"wait, your subbing one of your wink-spikers out for a girl?" one guy on shinzin asked. the entire team gave shinzin death glares. 

"just you wait broccoli head." i say and smirk, they have no idea what's coming.

the ref blows the whistle and one of the shinzins members jump served and noya received it perfectly and sent it to kageyama. kageyama sent it to tsukki to spike but shinzin blocked it. i was able to make my way over there when nishinoya received it so i dug up the ball and kageyama goes to set it again.

i can tell the other team is surprised by my save so i take advantage and run to the other side of the net to spike. kageyama sends it to me and i jump, i see one blocker jump with me 'they're underestimating me' when the ball comes my way i do my "crazy cut-shot" and i goes past the blocker and to the front on the other side of the court. 

i land and smile. "don't underestimate me." i say and walk to the serving line to serve. everyone looks at me in shock as i take the ball. i bounce the ball a couple of times and prepare for a jump serve. i take a slow step as i throw the ball, one more slow step and follow it with two fast ones and jump. i rotate my body to get power and hit the ball over. 

*tweet*

both teams just stare at me, "wow guys don't look that surprised." i say and roll my eyes. tanaka was the first to say something. "that's serve showed 'em! great job!" he yelled.

"how?!!" the other teamed yelled, causing all the other teams to look over.

i smirk. "well i wouldn't be #1 in korea if i couldn't play now would i?" all teams gasp. 

"no way!" one shinzin member said in awe.

"miuna,, your stuttering is gone." daichi pointed out and i blushed.

"well i havn't been feeling very confident in myself due to not being able to play volleyball... volleyball was a huge part of my life and its hard going from having certain things to having nothing... not just volleyball. 

but being apart of this team and being able to play sometimes, makes me feel a lot better even if i'm still missing some things in my life... its really helped me learn to love myself and other things better." i explain, feeling hot tears roll down my face, from both happiness and sadness.

daichi looks at me stunned. "a-aah are you ok miuna, your crying!" he stammers, not sure what to do. "i'm fine, these are happy tears." i say, telling half of the truth.

"well i'm glad you happy." he says, but i can tell he's a little concerned. 

i'm just not ready to tell the whole story yet.

sorry this took so long, i just started highschool! also its a little short.

my updates are gonna be a little inconsistent due to school and stuff.

this chapter was gonna be longer but i cut it short so i could update it sooner. 

i'm thinking there is gonna be about 15 chapters in total maybe a little more, i'm not sure.
