Chapter 1

Author's POV

        Beep.Beep.Beep. "'all personals to departing deck"The robot voice said loud and clear though the intercom as the group ran down the coradors each standing in front of numbered door. "hey evens!" a loud voice shouted as the young brunette turned to see muscular light tan italian. "what scarzone?" she called out in confusion before seeing his famous smirk on his lips.

        "last one to the shore buy one a drink" "your on!" Evette shouted taking challenge as the automatic doors opened and all ran to their pod cars jumping in just before other side of wall opened revealing most large, open dark sky. Soon all the pods hovered from the platform and off to the starting line as they all face the view of their race.

        Earth.

        "Alright racers, get ready in two minutes" The announcement spoke that was sent to the pod cars as all you could hear engines roaring as all nine were lined up together. "you all are going down!" the youngest and curl hair boy said communicating to other racer as they laughed. "yah sure dana, just watch the master  show you how it done"Cole said back as their attention was draw to the red light.

        "Racers! On your mark..Get set..go!" the annocement shouted as the light turned green and the racing began. Speeding though space around the obstcle course heading right into the atmosphere slolwy as the speck turned into island then into country getting closer and closer.

        No longer ones they called family and friends looked like ants as they were all coming into the final stretch of the race. Neck and Neck between Evette and David with Will not long behind them."no way your getting this win!" Evette said into the headset knowing she was still connected to others as she could hear david laugh.

        But all the laughs and talked stop as another pod jumped in cutting them off and wining the race as the others followed along not after landing on sands of santa monica. "And the winner is.. Gabriel Morales Martin!" The host yelled over the mic as racer got out of their pods clapping.

        "damn man! I so will get you next time!" Dalton said laughing as the eight laughed walking towards the one of many drink bars as festival carried on. "sure.. dalton but you have to get passed me" Kendra winked playfully before hugging gabe. "congrats .. now let toast.. to many more races" Grace said grabbing soda holding up her drink as everyone followed in a cheer.

        Racing was fun and games and would be forever in their eyes. What else could go wrong? But in honesty none of them have no idea of what was to be coming their way in the near semi distant future. But for now it was Fun and Games.
