Chapter 2

Author's POV

        Later that night the party died down as the bonfire lite up the beach with pier in the back ground as music died down and attention was called to the stage. "Thank you! Thank you everyone for coming out and enjoying the festival and a amazing pod race!"The host by the name of Norman Mota said front in center as everyone watched in front of them.

        "so please once again can we have all racers up here" the male said as all nine got on stage and rewarded different placement metals except gabe who got gold. "let give it up for our racer.. who are not only best in the station but will be few of first guest on newest project..let us introduce Moon paradise" He said as he motioned everyone attention to projection screen playing advertisement of the project.

        "hey guys doesnt this seem familiar?" Evette asked as the other shrugged not taking eyes off short clip in front of them. "starting next week, all are welcomed to join me at Moon Paradise mall and resort.. and it will be next sponser of pod race so dont miss it!" the host said finishing up his speech as everyone cheered in excitment. But was excitment really to become of this all.

        "is it only me or does anyone else get a bad feeling about this all?"Kendra asked as her friends turned to her in confused. "what there to be scared about? unless you are scared to loose?" Gabe smirked as she rolled her eyes pushing him back. "oh both you stop Im going to be the one that beat all of you.." Grace said as other laughed. "okay you two stop flirting, and grace stop provoking things for now...we better get back to station.."will said as they all looked up to sky, to their home.

        "will is right, gotta packing too do before next week rolls around the corner" Dalton said as they all walked toward their pods that sat in same place they finished race.

Evette's POV

         "will is right, gotta packing too do before next week rolls around the corner" Dalton said as I nodded along side the other feeling my body wanting sleep to just take over. It been a long and eventful day so you can say I was tired. "hey Eve.."david called out as I turned seeing him nodding to hold back as I did seeing others walking towards beach once more where the pods had been parked.

        "wht up david?"I asked confused to what was happening before seeing him pulling out chocolate cupcakes for me and him. "here to a good race.." he said giving a soft smile as I gave one back taking one. "thank david..good race and more to come" I said before seeing other taking off back towards the space station.

        "we better get going before it get any later" I said remembering that there was cerfew on the platform docks on weekdays. "right dont wanna be late.. see you there.." David said before going to his pod and walked to mine seeing outline of a girl leaning against my pod. "hey.."I called out getting closer view seeing her raven hair and glasses realsing it was Maui.

        "oh hey.." Maui said smiling eating cookie she must of gotten from food table. "I'm guessing you need a ride back to the station? where is destiny?"I asked to make sure our roomate gotten back safely. "oh she rode back with grace and yes i need a ride.." she said softly smiling as I giggle nodding. "come on..just no dropping cookies in my pod.."I said not wanting to have to clean it out later.

        The drive back to the station was no time at all as I walked beside Maui out of pod garages smiling about story she told. We walked into the room hearing the sound of bikering from living room "give me back my nutella!!!!" Destiny whined as Grace ran over to us hiding behind. "nevah!!" she said as kendra laughed stealing tub.

        "there no one shall get the nutella!"Kendra said with a semi evil laugh before running. And let just say that game of steal the nutella went on for next hour till we all soon passed out within our rooms.

        Staring up at ceiling I couldnt felt but get some strange unknown feeling. What was going to happen? I could not put my finger on it, but all i did know is that we are home and back in space station.
