" How many times do I have to say it again, Ned. It was amazing. " She mumbled, taking a bite of her lunch. MJ rolled her eyes while Peter was exceptionally quite, silently listening to their conversation.
" Did you guys kiss? Did you guys, you know? " He wriggled his eyebrows and Y/n choked, Peter widened his eyes while MJ smirked.
" Ned! It was only one date and for your kind information, no and no. " Y/n says in a small voice, blood rushing to her cheeks.
" You are no fun. I'm sure he was bored because you didn't give him any signals. " Ned mumbled and Y/n rolled her eyes.
" Thanks, Ned for the advice. I'll keep it in my pocket for now. " She sasses and Peter chuckled at her salty mood.
The rest of the day went by quite faster than expected and Y/n was walking back home. Peter was thinking about how Y/n smiled when she talked about the date or Zayn and how he winked at her every time they crossed paths.
" Pete, you need to tell me what's going on! You're so dull all day! " Y/n whined closing the door as they walk in and Peter sighed.
" I'm just stressed. The internship and school.. " He trailed off and Y/n nodded. She knew he was lying straight to her face and she could read him easily but she decided to to push it. She ran upstairs and came back in pj's.

She fought the urge to cuddle into him and sat at a good distance, turning on the TV and flipped through channels.
" Did you find a date for the homecoming yet? " Y/n asked and Peter nodded.
" Yeah, I asked Liz today. She said yes. " Peter grinned and Y/n widened her eyes, despite the burning sensation in the pit of her stomach and grinned wide.
" That's amazing! How did you even manage? " She teased and Peter rolled his eyes.
" I m guessing you're going with Zayn? " He asks and Y/n hummed.
" He asked me right after our third class. I'm glad actually, I'd have to go alone if he wouldn't ask me. " She chuckled and Peter rolled his eyes. Y/n was always self conscious, way more shy type when it came to her appearance but she didn't care at the same time around certain people like her parents, May and her friends. Because she knew they won't judge her.
" Don't say that. You're absolutely beautiful and anyone would die to spend time with you. " He says pecking her cheek and walked to the kitchen while Y/n just sat there, with burning cheeks.
Peter cursed under his breath, not knowing where that came from. He really didn't intend to say it out aloud and something suddenly took over him. He managed to calm down and walk back with two packets of crisps, handing her one.
He tried hard not to grab her closer and set her on his lap, knowing that she was now seeing someone, and he didn't want to accept it but it was surely troubling him.
