Chapter 7 | "Uno it is!"

After our first 'training' we all went home, Nagari and I had to go to recovery girl's office first  it wasn't needed since we were perfectly fine just some scratches but we had to.
I walked home, I told Nejire that she should go home and not wait for me. She insisted to wait for me but I rejected her.
When I saw my home nearing, I let out a sigh before opening the door and seeing my mom look up with a smile.

Her smile suddenly fades when she sees bandages on my arms, I widened my eyes and waved my arms "we had our first training don't worry about it." My mom didn't look very convinced and looked with a worried face at me, she wanted to talk but I was faster.

"Its fine, just some scratches. I got in a fight with Nagari..." I looked at the floor after saying that and simply sighed, "that boy from middle school?!" I looked up to see my mom half worried half angry.

I nodded and set up a small smile, "I beat the shit out of him." I whisper said, my mom grinned at me and started laughing. I smiled and dropped my bag.

I was walking towards the couch before, "Wait!!" My mom almost shouted, I looked to my right and saw her run to the kitchen. I couldn't see what she was doing and waited patiently.

"You remember as a child, you always asked us for a pet?" She finished her sentence and held up her arms, she had a black kitten in her hands. I opened my mouth to scream but only let out a gasp, I ran towards my mom and took the kitten out of her hands.

"After you're father's accident you never asked for a pet again, but I know how much you wanted one. And since you got in UA high I thought you'd might like this as a present."
She couldn't even finish her sentence or I was already hugging her.

She chuckled and hugged me back, then I crouched down to the kittens level and smiled at him. He was beautiful pitch black with one white spot on his left eye, his right eye was green while his left was blue.

"I love him, thanks mom..." I smiled softly and carefully picked the kitten up, he was looking a bit scared around him but then relaxed in my warm hands. I walked towards the stairs and took my bag with me, a kitten in one hand and a bag in the other I walked upstairs to my room.

The 2 blue walls of my bedroom with the beautiful paintings on it were shining brightly when the sun shined through my window, I softly dropped the kitten on my white bed and sat down next to him.

He was looking around, at first he had a scared expression but soon enough he was looking adventurous around him. He walked towards my pillows and found a nice spot to lay down, he dropped his little head on his paws and curled up like a little black ball.

I smiled and just stared at him the rest of the day, I was so happy with this tiny kitten it brightened up my whole life.

Before I knew it, it was The next day. I woke up to see a black face right in front of me, the kitten was laying next to me in a deep sleep. I smiled on this cute sight and carefully got out of bed, he woke up and looked at me with confusion.

I left him there and took my school uniform out of the closet and changed into them, I also brushed my teeth and hair and did the whole mornin routine.

I then walked downstairs with my bag, my mom wasn't there yet. It's to early for her to be up on a free day, I took a bowl of cereal andante it quickly. I looked at my right and saw the tiny kitten trying its best to get downstairs, it was walking slowly step by step down the stairs.

I walked towards him and picked him up, I walked back to my cereal and placed him on the kitchen counter. I placed my head on my hand and started thinking of names for the little kitten, I was always bad with remember names so thinking of names wasn't very easy.

I couldn't think of anything and suddenly saw the kitten drink of my cereal bowl, well yeah only the milk. I chuckled and started petting him softly, I looked at the clock and took my bag.

I walked to the kitten who was licking the milk off his lips and smiled at him, he was looking at me confused and started walking towards me. "Sorry buddy, I have to go."

The kitten tilted its head and looked at me with his big beautiful eyes, I sighed and picked him up. I placed him carefully in my bag, it was bag enough for him so he has space.

I walked towards the door and closed it behind me walking towards the bus station.

Time skip to school :)

We were in English class, I was staring at the clock. '5 more minutes and then I can eat!' I said to myself with a chuckle, it didn't take long or the 5 minutes passed and we all walked out of the classroom.

I walked to the cafeteria to get some food, they had curry.. boring noodles... sandwiches... 'Sandwiches!!' I said to myself after picking a bacon egg sandwich and a pulled chicken sandwich.

I smiled at the delicious food and walked to the exit of the cafeteria, I walked through the halls of UA towards the stairs and went all the way up to the roof. I opened the door and got blinded by the sun, I closed it behind me and my eyes settled.

And there I saw a indigo haired male looking at me with a shocked face, I widened my eyes a bit "Amajiki?" I walked towards him and smiled, "what are you doing here?"

He looked nervous at me but answered, "I- I like th- the view." I gasped and let out a 'ohh'

I sat next to him but at least 2 meters apart, "why are you h- here?" He asked almost without stuttering. I froze in place and looked nervously at the floor, "well..." I sighed.

"I'm actually here for this." I opened my bag and took out the small kitten, the kitten was looking around him wanting to explore. I dropped him softly on the floor and took the sandwiches.

I tore off a small piece of my sandwich and gave it to him, he ate it fast which made him almost choke. I giggled and then remembered that Amajiki was still next to me.

"He's the reason why I'm here, we are not supposed to have cats at school..." he moved a little closer to me and stuck out his hand to the kitten, he sniffed it for a second and then closed his eyes while pushing his little head against Amajiki's hand.

Amajiki softly scratches the kitten's head and smiled, "I think he likes you." I whisper said, Amajiki froze a bit and nodded with a small smile still on his face. I saw his cheeks blush a faint pink color and giggled softly.

"Wh- what's his name?" Amajiki asked, "he doesn't has one yet, I'm not to good with names." I said nervously, he looked at me while thinking. I looked straight at his indigo eyes and stared for a second, I then widened my eyes and we both looked back eyes straight on the kitten.

"Maybe call him Uno." I gasped a bit and widened my eyes, "that fits him perfectly!" I saw Amajiki smile a bit and smiled back at him, I looked back at the kitten. "Uno it is!"
