The doctor's question snapped Kylie out of her thoughts, and she looked at Ryan for guidance. However, she was taken aback when Ryan simply smiled at her, trying to convey encouragement and a sense of independence.

But instead of finding reassurance in Ryan's smile, Kylie's fear intensified. Confusion and fright consumed her as she struggled to understand the game he seemed to be playing. She wanted no part in it.

Nodding at the doctor, who was patiently waiting for her response, Kylie silently agreed to proceed with the test. The doctor smiled, relieved by her decision. Dr. Cole proceeded to ask Kylie some questions and examined her body, thankfully finding no permanent damage.

""Well, everything seems to be okay," the doctor exclaimed, slightly surprised. In his 15 years as a doctor, he had never seen such a battered body enter his hospital, still breathing and alive.

Kylie nodded, seemingly uninterested in her own health. Her mind was consumed by worry for her child and where he might be.

"I recommend you rest for now and take it easy in the next few days. You'll need to be on bed rest and avoid moving around too much," the doctor advised. Kylie nodded absently, her mind drifting away.

"Lastly, try to accept everything because everything happens for a reason. I promise you, Harry is in a better place. May his soul rest in peace," the doctor concluded, offering his condolences.

Suddenly, Mark stood up, screaming and knocking over the chair he had been sitting on. His eyes darted to Kylie, hoping she hadn't heard. Tears welled up in Kylie's eyes, and to Mark's surprise, she turned to him with a piercing stare.

""That's not a funny joke, Doctor," Kylie said angrily, her voice filled with frustration and grief.

Dr. Cole felt a wave of guilt wash over him. He had assumed that Kylie had already been informed about the devastating news. He had given her alone time with her family, hoping they would be the ones to deliver it.

"I'm sorry," he tried to say, his voice filled with remorse.

"I have forgiven you," Kylie snapped, her anger still present. "But now, bring back my Harry."

The doctor looked at Ryan uncomfortably, sensing the anger emanating from him. Ryan's glare expressed his fury at the doctor for revealing the death of his child without any prior knowledge. The urge to harm the doctor surged within him, but he knew that it wouldn't improve the situation.

"Mark knew Kylie would find out about the death eventually. Maybe it's a blessing he didn't break the news," Ryan said, his voice filled with a mix of sorrow and regret.

Ryan approached Kylie, reaching out to take her hands, but she pulled away abruptly. He let out a heavy sigh. "Kylie, I'm so sorry," he whispered, his voice filled with anguish.

Kylie shook her head vehemently, her eyes filled with disbelief. "No, Ryan! Make him apologize. What kind of sick joke is he playing? Harry is fine. Demand that the doctor be fired for such a cruel prank."

"Kylie, our child..." Ryan's voice trailed off, his heart heavy with the weight of the truth he was about to reveal.

"My child," Kylie interrupted, her voice filled with desperation, "My child is fine! I want to see him now!" Her demand echoed through the room.

In that moment, Kylie's fear and hesitation vanished. All that mattered was protecting her beloved Harry, She had always been his protector, and she had big dreams for his future. He was supposed to grow up to be a young, handsome, and healthy man. He was her reason to keep going. How could they dare say he was gone?

With a heavy heart, Mark spoke softly, "Kylie, I'm so sorry, but you have to understand. Harry is no longer with us. They found him in the lake, and the autopsy revealed that he drowned. It was too late to save him."

""Shut up!" Kylie shrieked, her voice filled with frustration and determination as she covered her eyes. "This is not a joke, Mark! Just stop it!" With a surge of adrenaline, she ripped the IV from her arms and desperately tried to swing her legs over the bed. She was determined to prove the doctor wrong if they wouldn't believe her that her son was still alive.

"KYLIE!!" the doctor, Mark, and Ryan all screamed in unison, but Kylie was too focused to hear them. She continued to tear out the other tubes that were connected to her, faintly aware of the doctor instructing the nurses and Ryan that she needed to be sedated. All she could think about was finding Harry.

Ryan held Kylie tightly, his arms wrapped around her waist, as she thrashed and screamed, desperately pleading for him to let her go. Her eyes widened with fear when she saw the nurse approaching with a needle in her hand, causing her to thrash even harder.

"No, please," she begged Ryan, knowing deep down that it might be pointless. Ryan wasn't the type to easily listen to pleas, but she couldn't help but continue to beg him. "I just want to see him. That's all! Please, let me see him."

Ryan closed his eyes, feeling the weight of Kylie's heartbreaking pleas. He felt utterly helpless as she begged and cried to see her deceased son. Seeing Kylie in this state was unbearable for him. He couldn't shake the guilt of not giving her the happiness she deserved when they were together. It was also incredibly difficult for him to accept the painful reality of losing his only child without ever getting to see him. He knew deep down that what Mark and the doctor had said was true, but it didn't make it any easier for him.

"Please!" Kylie continued to scream in his arms, her desperation consuming her. Finally, the nurse was able to sedate her, putting his ex-wife into a deep state of unconsciousness once again.
