Kylie strained to catch fragments of the conversation between Ryan and Dr. Cole. Their hushed voices made it difficult, but she couldn't help but try to piece together what they were discussing. Every now and then, their assessing gazes would shift towards her, causing her to feel uneasy and fidget uncomfortably. It was clear that they were talking about her, but the specifics eluded her.

Finally, the doctor let out a defeated sigh. "Fine, you can take her home," he relented, but with a condition. "She must remain on bedrest, and a nurse will stay with her at all times."

"Except at night," Ryan interjected. Kylie's eyes widened, her breathing becoming labored. She desperately needed a space to stay during the night, away from him.

"Okay then," the doctor reasoned, oblivious to the anger brewing in Kylie's eyes. Unbeknownst to him, she dreaded the thought of spending a night with Ryan, fearing for her safety.

As the doctor sighed and recommended bringing her for check-ups every two weeks, Ryan sternly disagreed, saying, "I do not recommend this, Mr. Charles."

Kylie, frustrated, snapped back, "I do not care what you recommend." She let out a heavy sigh and forced herself to focus on the conversation once more. To her surprise, the doctor left the room, leaving Ryan behind. He looked wise and caring as he sat by her bedside. Despite her best efforts, Kylie couldn't move from her position on the bed due to the pain in her arms and legs. But she was determined to endure this physical discomfort rather than face the emotional pain Ryan had caused her in the past.

"Ryan's gesture of moving his chair to make Kylie more comfortable surprised her, causing a knot to form in her throat. It was confusing and even a bit scary for her, given her past experiences with his malicious behavior. She couldn't forget the time he had been nice to her, only to end up doing something even worse.

When Ryan asked if she wanted to go home out of curiosity, Kylie hesitated. She wasn't sure what he meant by that.

Home? Which home? *laughs* It was a laughter filled with sadness. Ryan, don't you understand? The day you made me sign those papers was the day I realized that we can never be on the same path. It's over, just like you said.

"Kylie, please don't say that. You're in pain, and you shouldn't say things you might regret later," Ryan said calmly, trying to reason with her.

She burst into laughter. "Regret? Did you ever regret calling me a slut? Did you ever regret forcing me to divorce you? Did you ever regret putting me in a cell for something I didn't do? Hell, did you even regret playing with my emotions? Did you ever regret abusing me? You never did. So why should I?" she shouted, her anger and hurt pouring out.

"K-kylie, I regret every..." Ryan stammered, but Kylie cut him off before he could complete his sentence.

"You guys literally killed my baby! I begged you to let me go and bring my Harry back, but you didn't listen," she sobbed. "Harry will never forgive any of us now."

"I will never forgive you for what you did to me. You don't deserve to be forgiven!" she screamed, her anger and pain consuming her.

Ryan didn't know what to say in that moment. He wished Kylie could understand the immense grief he was feeling, the deep longing he had for his son, and how much he regretted not being there for him.

But he would endure all the hurtful words she said because he knew she was in immense pain. He would give his life just for her to take him back and give him a chance to fix his mistakes.

"Just leave, please, and never come back," she said angrily, her voice trembling as she fought back tears.

"Kylie, please..." Ryan knelt down, begging her. He reached out to hold her hands, but she quickly pulled them away.

"Don't you dare touch me. You don't have that right anymore."

"Can you please forget everything? Can we just start afresh?" Ryan pleaded, tears streaming down his face. One thing he knew was that he couldn't afford to lose her, not this time.

"GET OUTTT!" she screamed, her voice filled with anger and pain.

Mark entered the room, his expression full of worry. "Kylie, what's wrong?"

"Tell him to leave, Mark. I don't want to do something I might regret later," she demanded, her voice laced with desperation.

"Who?" Mark asked, his voice filled with confusion. He looked down and saw Ryan kneeling on the floor.

"Get the hell out of her sight, you pathetic excuse for a man!" Mark spat, his voice dripping with venom. He shoved Ryan with all his strength, causing him to stumble backward.

Ryan's heart pounded in his chest as he struggled to regain his balance. The weight of his mistakes weighed heavily on him, but he refused to let Mark's words break him. With a newfound determination, he straightened his posture and looked Mark in the eye.

"You may think it's too late, but I'm not giving up without a fight," Ryan said, his voice filled with quiet resolve. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."

"Make things right? After everything you've done?" Mark scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. "You think a few empty promises will fix everything? It's too late for redemption, Ryan. You've lost your chance."
