She was on that damned balcony again, leaning against the railing, looking out at who knew what.

Rwawa could not for the l i f e o f him understand her affiliation with that particular spot.

You own the entire palace. But this is the place you choose to spend all your free time.

There were many reasons why he did not understand people. This was one of them.

"They're in the stables,” he announced, startling her a bit.

“Oh,” she mumbled absently.

She wouldn't look at him.

“Is there something wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong, Rwawa.” But her voice was shaking. She was shaking.

“Alti, we've known each other for years. Don't lie to me. Is it someone I need to beat up?”

That made her laugh at least.

“Seriously, Alti...”

He was honestly worried about her. These days, she seemed very lonely. One daughter was missing and she was refusing to say a word about it. The other seemed to take pleasure in antagonizing her every step of the way. Then all of a sudden, they were was planning a feast together. And all these swords were materializing from thin air.

Alti was left in the middle of all this and would not let anyone know what exactly was going on.

“You should trust me. Have you forgotten who I am?”

“How would I dare?” And he meant it . Nobody rose above quite like she did.

“Thank you for everything, my friend,” she abruptly said. She sounded strangely wistful.

“No, thank you.

As he left, his worries were not assuaged in the least. Infact, he was even more worried than before.

Not once had she turned around to look at him. And he suspected that it was because she had been crying.
