For the Love of Severus Snape Book 1

Chapter 5-blissful beginnings and a terrible dream

As I woke up the sun was peering in through the curtains. I felt the strong, warm embrace of Severus. As I looked up at him he was smiling at me."I love watching you sleep, it is so peaceful," He says as he kisses my forehead. "How long have you been watching me sleep?" I ask. "Not long," he replied as he hugged me closer. "What time is it?" I ask. "A little after 9 in the morning,"he says. 'Well I'm famished," I say I a grab my wand and wave it. A silver platter appears with tea, toast,Jam and eggs and sausages. "Breakfast in bed my love." I say. We quietly eat and when we are done I wave my wand and the dishes disappear. 

We showered together then went back to bed and made love for the rest of the morning and into the afternoon. I fell asleep in his arms and began to slip into a dream. We were there in Hogwarts, but it was as if I were a silent observer. I watched as Severus addressed the students when Harry was spotted in Hogsmead, then I saw Harry step out and McGonnagall and Severus duel until he fled through the great window. I was transported to the boat house and saw Voldmort talking with Severus. I could do nothing but stand there and watch as Voldemort waved his hand and blood emitted from Severus' neck as he fell back against the boathouse window. The Voldemort sent Nagini in to kill him. No, how was this happening. When Voldemort left, All I saw was the one I loved more then my own life fading away as Harry entered through the door. He went to Severus and placed his hand on the open wound around his neck. A tear began to fall from Severus' eye. "take them," he sobbed.Harry asked Hermione for something to put it in. As Harry raised the vial he was given to the tears streaming from Severus' eyes He said"Take them to the pensieve."  And then he looked at Harry. "You have your mothers eyes,"he said with one final breath. And then he was gone. Suddenly  I was the only one there with him laying before me. I went to his lifeless body and lay my hand on his face, the tears began to fall like a river down my cheeks. I sobbed and fell into his chest. My body shuddering with every sob. How was this happening, what was going on. And then I heard it a gentle whisper. "Marigold." a voice said. I turned and saw Lily,'Dear sister, you do not need to be in this place. Why have you come here when all has changed." I turned and Severus was gone from where he had been. "I don't understand Lily." I say "He was just right here, gone,dead." "No, you are dreaming you must wake up and never dwell on this again." And with that i was startled awake.

"Darling,what is the matter why are you crying." Severus says with concern. "You are shaking," he says. 'A dream, no a nightmare. It was so real. As if I changed nothing. " I sobbed, "Shhhhh, my darling. It is alright. I am here with you." he says. "But I lost you, you were gone." I cry. "No, look at me. I am right here forever with you." He assures me. I look at him, tears streaming down my cheeks. My hand reaches up to his face, "If I ever lost you, I couldn't bear to live." I say. "You are my life, ever since I first saw you my heart was tied to you." He looks at me with suck love in his beautiful dark eyes, "You will never lose me, we are as one forever," He says as he kisses me softly  and brings me down into his warm safe embrace. 

I lay there afraid to fall back into that nightmare. Severus held be tight kissing my forehead, "how about we go and see your nephew." he suggested. "I think it would be good for you to go see Harry so he can reassure you all is ok." " No, I just want to be with you right now. That nightmare was just to scary." "It was just a bad dream,my love. I am here with you for forever" He said as he kissed me.

As I looked into his eyes, I suddenly realized that I needed to let go of my insecurities about Severus. Over the years since we had meet I always felt like the third wheel, the back up to my sister. I was the one who was there for him when she turned her back on him.Even when she died it still felt like I was competing with her memory. I had felt the shift in his feeling for me but took it as a way to protect me only. Now with him looking deeply in my eyes I saw that it was now me he loved. I knew Lily would always hold a place in his heart but now I realize that I was his future. And with that i said to him, " I am so sorry for doubting your feelings for me, I have to tell you that I never meant to it just seems like I was just scared." "I understand" he said "You have lost so much you were scared that you would lose more if you were happy." "But I am happy Severus, you make me so happy it just scares me that this might have never been." I say. "There is no need to dwell on what never happened, our future awaits us" he says. 

And when he says that I suddenly have a vision, I see Severus and I. He has a bundle in his arms and is smiling at me. The little bundle is cooing up at Severus, as I look closer I see a dark haired little baby dressed in white and blue. "What should we name him," he says. and with that the vision is over. 

I sigh and smile. As I place my hand on my stomach I look up at Severus. "Whats the matter?' Severus asks. I place my hand on his temple and show him. A smile graces his lips, as I lower ,y hand he grabs it and brings it up to his lips." I will send an owl to the doctor." he says. We both get up and I shower while he dresses and prepares the note to be sent by our owl. I dress in a pretty dark purple dress and head downstairs as Severus was letting the owl out of the kitchen window.

I sat down at the table and just looked at the man before me, he was so handsome dressed in his usual black suit but there was something that was different then what I have been used to all these years we have been together working against Voldemort. What usually held a sullen sneer now had a grin. Those lips smiling at me those deep dark eyes fixed on mine. How could life be any sweetier.As he walked over to where I sat and kneeled in front of me my heart raced as he leaned in a kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he stood up never letting my lips part from his. With his arms around my waist and my feet dangling all I felt now was happy.
