Pan stood on top of the mountain looking at the young boys partying around the campfire, masks covered their faces.
Each night he'd venture into the cities and play his flute, still enchanted with a song for all the unloved to hear. When they did, they would follow him and he'd take them somewhere where they would have a home.
There were nights, however, that nobody heard the calls of his flute. But on other nights, many boys would hear the tune.
No girls were enchanted, most likely because Pan did not want to hear their whines or complaints.
None the less, he had a great group of rowdy boys who were now living in NeverLand. Neither had people to miss them back in their own home. None that Pan knew of.
He did have one boy, however, who overcame his spell. He spent countless days wondering the forests confused and lost. His eyes dazed and milked over as he could barely make out a logical sentence. Pan was confused at his actions at first until he realized the spell had broken and this was the final effect. The boy remained useless to him so he dropped him off at Hook's port in hopes Hook would take pity on him. The boy never did return, nor did his body, so he assumed Hook took him in.
One starry night, Pan and Hook were having a 'friendly' sword battle on the beach.
The clanging of swords were all they heard as both jumped around clashing their swords.
Every so often, Hook would slash his hook towards Pan when he was busy but he quickly dodged the swipes.
The shadow had took off hours ago, but Pan never thought much of it. Until tonight when it came flying back with only one person in its arms.
Pan froze watching the strange person lay helpless in its arms, a gown covering its body.
Hook followed his stare and smirked before bowing, a plan already formulating in his head.
"I shall see you later, Peter. Until then." Hook said loudly placing his sword back in its holder before disappearing back to the boat he called home.
The shadow dropped the kid off and disappeared back up the mountain without another word.
A bunch of the older lost boys came flooding out from the hidden places within the forest where they watched the fight.
They all surrounded the young new comer excited, only to let out a gasp of shock.
Curious, Pan pushed his way through and made his way towards the center of the group where a young girl slept.
"A girl?" He asked.
"A girl!" One of the lost boys shouted.
Pan growled and rushed everyone away from the girl. He crouched down in front of her and watched as she slowly moved one limb.
She groaned loudly but made no sign of getting up.
Pan frowned and stood up, ordering some boys to come forward.
"Take her to the camp and keep her in one of the cages. Tell me when she wakes" he said walking away.
The boys nodded and took the girl and headed in towards the forest.
Pan watched in interest wondering why the shadow had chosen to bring a girl. It knew well enough that Pan had only asked for boys, so why did it change now?
Deciding the only way to find out was to confront it himself, he headed up towards the mountain where he met the shadow after his arrival.
Once at the top, he saw the shadow floating there waiting for him.
