Three days.
I've been here for three days.
I have still ignored Angie ever since the moment I got here. She just asks questions like it's a casual day and then does her medical stuff. It's been the same thing for the past 72 hours, I sleep, eat, get my shots done and then sleep again.
Before everything changed, my life would be the same repetitive schedule. I would wake up for school, put on an outfit that would signify my boring life and leave home. Home wasn't even a safe place for me. Every move I made was watched and either approved or rejected.
I guess that's what you get for having bossy, helicopter parents who only care about what they can brag to others about your accomplishments.
I was a straight A student and now I don't even know if I'm still enrolled in high school due to all of the days I skipped with him. I was the girl who sat in the back of the classroom and would be completely ignored, as if I didn't exist to everyone else in that room. But nowadays- when I actually go to class- I sit in the front because I am always in trouble and usually the center of attention to everyone who surrounds me.
I have had so many detentions that I've lost count. If I remember correctly I've been to the principles office 17 times for many, various, reasons. Everything I do is wrong, everything I touch disappears into thin air.
I'm broken and nothing can fix me.
Flashback
Something hits the back of my head.
I look down and see a rolled up piece of paper, next to the 5 others not knowing of the pain they have caused an innocent girl. I don't dare look back at the conspirers knowing that if I do I'll have another bruise to add to the collection. The group of pubescent boys behind me throws another one and I just ignore it like I do every school day.
They don't realize the pain they can cause someone, just because they are popular and have a higher status doesn't mean they can hurt someone like this. They move on with their lives like nothing happens, not realizing the mess they're making with every wake they make. One day they'll look back and realize that what they did was horrible but they will never get to apologize for the mistake they made because no kid really wants to forgive their tormentor. The way I've been treated and harassed wouldn't even be considered humanly accepted. Why do I have to be the one on the other side of the tormenting. Why does anyone have to be treated in such barbaric ways? What has happened to the bullies that is so bad that I have to accept their wrath everyday?
They are all vacant on the inside and monstrous on the outside.
Mr.Cash yells something in the background, but I just ignore it like always. There is always the same one group who always get yelled at every single day-when they actually show up. I call them the stoners because wherever they are they're either high or about to light something up that causes them to be in another world- totally oblivious to others.
BANG!
I quickly look up and see a desk on the floor and Mr.Cash red in the face. I realized that one of the 'stoners' hadn't moved from his seat even though the teacher is yelling at him like his pants are on fire. He just sits there, conscious but not really doing anything.
It must be nice not to have to deal with the pain of the outside world. Just feel like you're the only one and you don't have to worry about how much you'd rather be dead than live in this horrible life.
Mr.Cash yells at the kid and his stoner friends start laughing. I hear one of them whisper, "Dude, you're totally baked." The boy lightly smiles and then gets up and leaves the room. He walks with importance and confidence, despite the fact that he is high.
Mr.Cash mutters to himself about how he shouldn't have to deal with this, and then I hear him say the stoners name:
Cody.
