Sat in the dark in a mute like state,
Masking how they feel as they cower away,
Like there waiting for it to be too late,
Hard to see or understand,
Wanting them to see or take my hand,
Confused yet wanting to know,
Why won't they let how they feel show?
Masking emotions isn't the best thing to do,
