THE AFTERMATH OF THE USJ incident was dentrimental. At first, it was kept quietly under wraps. It was a known fact that UA had been attacked, but there were no details on what really had went down.
But then, from an anonymous user, there was an article posted the next day. That was when things started to go to shit. That was when Bakugou Katsuki learned the real truth about All Might's quirk.
The article, in essence, went into great detail about the events at USJ. It had stated their information was from an unknown source, which would've had people shoot them down. However, they had video footage of the damn fight. Fuckin' proof.
Japan was thrown into chaos as the citizens watched the number one hero get struck by a knife and double over in pain. This could've been fixable if it weren't for the fact that whoever was recording caught All Might deflating into his true form as well. This lead to trending hashtags and debates online, arguing if this was the end of the Symbol of Peace.
Nezu had to induct an emergency press conference, where it was revealed that All Might was, at that point in time, in a coma. What was really a shit show, though, was that Bakugou had to attend the shitty conference and answer questions because his fight with fucking Dry Lips was caught on tape as well.
Whoever this camera man was, Bakugou wanted to explode them into pieces.
It was way out of his comfort zone, to be honest. He had to write down his answers on a piece of paper, as if he hadn't been briefed about how to answer them before then.
"Bakugou, you faced the leader of the League of Villains without hesitation! What was your thought process?"
Bakugou simply wrote, 'heroes are meant to save, aren't they?'
It wasn't exactly what he was told to write, but it felt like more of the right thing to say. The questions had continued for an hour, some directed towards Aizawa(who came straight from the hospital, still bandaged up like a mummy) and Nezu, while others towards Bakugou.
He even got one asking if he was mute. Aizawa put a hand on his shoulder and told him he didn't have to answer that, just like he had in the car during the debriefing. But the ash-blond only shrugged, and wrote down, 'sure.'
As if the reporters weren't already murmuring amongst themselves, the noise got louder because just what the hell did 'sure' mean? Aizawa stepped in at the point, saying to move onto the next question that would be unrelated to Bakugou's health.
Katsuki continued to be prodded for answers, the nosy journalists grasping onto the littlest details, desperate for a juicy headline. But the one question that struck Bakugou the most wasn't directed towards him, but rather society.
