THE DARK CLOUDS IN THE SKY seemed to mock Midoriya Izuku

THE DARK CLOUDS IN THE SKY seemed to mock Midoriya Izuku. They hovered over his small figure, leaving only shadows in their wake. Rain drizzled down lightly as they laughed at him, just to let him know that they, too, hated him. He wanted to scream at them to go away, to bring back the blue sky, but it was comforting to revel in the darkness that they brought because the droplets of water were a tender hand(cold, so cold) on his shoulder, and the clouds followed him wherever he walked; he wasn't alone with them around.

A somber grey set in the skyline of Musutafu, Japan. Izuku kicked at the cracks in the ground below his feet, making small pebbles soar further down the road. His head hung low and his dark green curls covered his face.

"Kacchan... that idiot, what if I really took his words to heart?" Midoriya mumbled to himself, his hands clenched into fists.

The green-haired boy was lost in his thoughts, thinking about what his childhood friend spat at him before leaving the classroom. Of course Kacchan would tell him to basically commit suicide. Izuku didn't want to be affected by his words, he really didn't, especially because it wasn't the first time he had been suicide baited. But it was the first time from Kacchan. Kacchan, who once shared the same bed as him when they were younger; Kacchan, who used to play with him in the playground, pretending they were heroes, like they were like All Might; Kacchan, who used to believe in him; Kacchan who, though bullied him restlessly ever since Izuku's fourth birthday, was one of the only people besides his mother that had once been his friend. Kacchan, who was Bakugou. Kacchan who didn't exist, not anymore.

As the boy passed under the shadowed arc of a bridge muttering to himself, the street began to rumble. Tremors ran up his legs from the force of it. From behind him, the sewer lid popped up from the street, and out came a green sludge. The lamb turned around and locked eyes with the wolf.

Red.

"Ah perfect, you'll do just the trick, kid!" The hideous(it was a monster, it had to be, how could it not when it smirked so heinously at Izuku) sludge exclaimed. Its teeth were sharp, baring fangs of crooked and jagged yellow dentition.

Izuku's eyes widened and as much as he tried to dodge the villain, it latched itself onto his small frame. He could feel the sticky green substance ooze down his throat, and suddenly he couldn't breathe. He clawed at it, his nails surely getting some of the guck underneath it, but it was to no avail.

"Don't fight it, kid. It'll be easier if you don't," the voice was nasally-- a noise akin to the echoing darkness lying plantain in a silent cave.

Izuku kicked his legs feverishly, and he opened his mouth to scream— no sound came out. His throat was clenching around a slimy substance, the villain's body, he realized. He gagged on it and the monster laughed, deep and Izuku could feel it rumble in his trachea. He choked and choked and oh god why isn't he just dead yet?
