"Taehyung! Wake up!"
Taehyung tossed and turned until his eyes forced themselves open, but it was worth it when he saw Jungkook looking up at him with large sparkling eyes. He was so happy to see him in the morning.
"Morning, flower." Taehyung murmured groggily, voice horse. He let out a small cough to try and clear his throat.
"Hyung! Guess what today is?!" Jungkook beamed and Taehyung was left stunned. He wasn't graduating today, was he? It was the following week right? Did he forget an anniversary?
Jungkook could see that he was struggling and decided to help him. "It's my two month anniversary of no self-harm! Isn't it great? I feel like a free bird!" Jungkook grinned childishly, bouncing up and down on the bed and making it rock on its unsteady legs.
"Oh baby, that's great! I'm so proud of you, you came so far. Even after everything I caused you to-
"Shut up, what do you not understand about forget about it? Like, look!" Jungkook stood up, it was only then that Taehyung saw he was still completely naked from last night. He then turned around to show his hip where the tattoo was. "No scaring! My arms too! There is nothing to remind me about the past anymore! I don't hear the voice anymore either! P-part of me wanted to end thing s-so, I ended him instead! I feel like the old me again!"
Taehyung smiled at his boyfriend. He couldn't be happier with how much his boyfriend evolved. "I'm so happy for you, Buttercup. I'll take you out to dinner to celebrate. I am so, so proud of you, I hope you know that."
"I do. Thank you, Hyung." Jungkook smiled, leaning and giving the older a kiss on his cheek. Jungkook still had something on his mind which he couldn't shake off. "Taehyung... can I ask you something?"
"Anything and everything. What is it, flower?" Taehyung hummed, reaching his hand up to play with Jungkook's hair and it was as yucky feeling as he imagined. Dried up sweat isn't the best feeling in the world.
"Why do you hate tattoos?"
"Ah," Taehyung whispered to himself although it was loud enough for Jungkook to hear as well. "I guess I never told you, have I?" Jungkook shooked his head and Taehyung tsked.
"Well... when I was a kid, my birth dad was actually a tattoo artist. B-but... he had an accident at work and cut someone's vein by accident- the court said he was drinking when doing it." Taehyung sighed and Jungkook's heart dropped to the bottom of his chest as he looked at how sad Tae seemed to be as he thought back on the memory.
"The man sued my family with everything he had and we were left just barely scraping by. My parents divorced and my mom was left struggling to raise a kid on her own." Taehyung frowned as he continued, his teeth gritted at the awful memory. "T-that stupid tattoo tore my family apart..."
Jungkook bit in his bottom lip. He reached up to grab the latter's hand that was still tangled in his hair and held it against his steadily beating heart. "I-I'm sorry that happened to you."
"T-that still doesn't give me the right to treat you the way I did. Thank you for forgiving me but... it will take some time for me to forgive myself." Taehyung informed and all Jungkook could do was give him a gentle smile of encouragement.
"I'll help you through it as you did for me. Come'on Hyung! Let's go take a shower!"
"I have the sweetest boyfriend in the world."
"I'd love too." Taehyung grinned, sitting up and causing the blanket that was covering his body to fall, making him gaze down at his outfit. He forgot he was still wearing part of the lingerie from last night. He was quick to cover his bare crotch and use his arm to cover the rather embarrassing bra that wasn't properly fitted. "I-I forgot I was wearing this..."
