After Jungkook cried his eyes out to Yugyeom, they cancelled their plans of heading to the arcade and instead went out for boba while taking a walk through a nearby park.
"Sorry I was crying all day... I'm kind of emotional. Like- really emotional." Jungkook laughed at himself, then filling his mouth with boba to make him shut up, apologizing once again when he swallowed it all down.
"It's fine Kookie, you don't need to pretend anything for me, I just enjoy being around you. I'm happy." The older smiled, wrapping a friendly arm around the younger.
"Thanks... but I know no one wants to be around when someone is crying." Jungkook murmured, resting his head against his friend's. "I'm really thankful."
Yugyeom stayed quiet. He wanted to confront Jungkook but he doesn't know if he would be in the right headset. Although, Yugyeom thought about it for a second time. It also means he's more vulnerable and willing to agree. "Jungkook, we've been friends for a long time, right?"
Jungkook nodded, taking a sip from his boba. "Yeah, like four years? Maybe more. Jackson introduced us."
The older smiled, he was glad that Jungkook was able to remember such small details. "Yeah... it was a long time ago. You had black hair back then, and you were wearing this really cute jumper, the fluffy blue one. I knew we were going to be friends, but later I thought maybe we could be more than friends..."
Jungkook nodded his head. "I thought the same." He caught the latter off guard, making his eyes widen and peer at him intensely while muttering a small, "really?"
"Yeah, to be honest, I was kind of nervous when I first met you. You had bleached hair and when I was younger my mom always told me to stay away from people like you, all of your piercings and emo clothes didn't help either." Jungkook laughed at the memory. He remembered it so vividly. How his mom sat him down right before he headed to school on his first day.
"Kookie, baby, now that you're going to school in the big Capital you have to be more careful. Your father and I both know you will do great in your studies, but you have trouble making friends..."
"Don't go near those rebels, them with their bleach hair and black clothes... they are bad news, Kookie."
"Huh, no wonder your mom didn't like me." Yugyeom murmured, he honestly thought it was because he got caught cursing when they were visiting. "Still, you thought that we could be more than friends..?"
Jungkook smiled and agreed with the older. "You won against Jackson to be my best friend."
"That's not what I meant, Kookie..." Brownie thought, shaking his head. "No, actually past the point of friendship, I actually..." He groaned to himself, at this rate he won't be able to say what he wants without messing up like he usually does.
So instead, Yugyeom grabbed Jungkook by the collar of his jumper and pulled him towards him, pressing his lips onto Jungkook's breathlessly moaning into the kiss.
Jungkook eyes were peeled open, unlike Yugyeom's that were locked shut. The brunet trembled under the kiss, he waited for the latter to pull away first.
Yugyeom hummed and parted their lips, licking his bottom lips while staring up at the younger. "S-sorry... I couldn't control myself." He whispered to the younger, moving his hand up to rub his thumb over Jungkook's puffed lips.
"Y-Yugyeom-"
"Give me a chance, Kookie, I loved you for years and did nothing. I still love you, I won't let you go this time." Yugyeom persisted, continuing to caress Jungkook's bottom lip, having a powerful urge to kiss it again but stopped himself from doing so. He didn't want to overpower Jungkook.
