2 : Strange man

I wake up to arguing, the people beside my room are fighting about who knows what. I sit up and look out the window, it's day now. But it's raining, the clouds grey like smoke. Making me feel like I'm in London again.

I sit up and stretch out. Not wanting to start aching later. I should check the mail...

I put my boots, bow, and arrows back on. Then put my bag back on my back. I quickly made the bed then walked out of the hotel from the back door, I climb onto the roof. Deciding to practice my climbing just a bit. I start a good sprint then jump to the next roof, landing on it perfectly. I see people looking up at the loud thump I made, they look surprised.

I jump to the next then off the building, rolling to avoid not hitting so hard. After I get back on my feet I start a good jogging pace to the postal office.

I make it and open the door gently, then walk to my box. I put my key in the whole then check inside. One letter, I pull it out then read the writing on the envelope.

'To : Y/N F/N, From your cousin, Mary-Beth Gaskell.' That's her...

I walk to the nearby benches inside and take a seat, I open the envelope and take out the price of paper. Seeing all the writing.

'Dearest Y/N,
Hello again... Excitingly and Thankfully, Dutch Van der Linde said he'd be happy to help. But he would love to see you in person before joining... Or if you're just looking to help us for a bit.

You can find us at Horseshoe Overlook, show the person on guard this letter and they'll let you in.

The gangs rules are simple really.

Help around camp, donate to the box every so often. Maybe even go hunting for food for the camp, but if you tell the law anything about us. You get shot, but you seem the type to be loyal... Again, meet us all at Horseshoe Overlook.

I fold the letter back up and put it in the envelope, then put that in my bag. Horseshoe Overlook..
I walk to the front desk.

The same man from yesterday's still here.

"Anything you need?" He asks then places the papers in his hands away. "An old friends is looking to meet me somewhere called 'Horseshoe Overlook'," I lie "but I don't really know where that is..."

He thinks for a moment. "Ah! Horseshoe, if you follow the trail out of town, there's a road that goes off it. Follow that and then you'll be there." He smiles. I nod and start walking away. "Thank you!"

I walk out the door then start my walk there... Everyone passing me on a horse, after a couple more people passing me. I decide maybe stealing one can't be THAT bad... I look behind me, a man coming jotting down. No one else behind or in front of us.

Right when he gets beside me I jump on, throw him off and do a full sprint away. He yells and groans mad. I chuckle then keep trotting down the trails, repeating the mans directions in my head, the next trail that led away from the main one I take.

Trees covering a very lit area, then a guard with a big rifle stands like a statue. A bigger man, big bald spot on his head. Wearing a blue shirt.

"Hey! Turn around, or I'm shooting you!" He points his rifle at me. I put my hands up in a surrendering motion.

"Wow, I'm here to see Mr.Van der Linde. I've gotten a letter from Ms.Gaskell to come here, I have it if you want to see..." I grab the letter out of my bag, jump off the horse then put it out to him.

He grabs it then reads it quickly.

"Ok... Follow me." He walks into the trees, I follow a little far behind. Once we reach the tents he leads me to the biggest one, a big white one right in the middle of the camp. People staring at me strangely.

"Dutch! We have a visitor," He shoves me towards the tent. A man with slick black hair walks out of the tent, followed by an older looking man.

"Ah! You must be Ms.L/N!" He walks closer to me and takes my hand shaking it. "I'm Dutch Van der Linde! Very nice to meet you, Ms.Gaskell has told me a bit about you." He smiles mischievously.

"This is my good friend Hosea," he looks to the older looking man. Hosea comes to me and shakes my hand. "Nice to see you."
