What do I ship?

REMINDER: This is before the situation with Ukraine, Russia, and America!

None of you asked but some of you thought about it. What does the totally awesome Redreddraws3 ship?

Here are some rules that I usually use whenever I ship something.

1. Does it make sense?

I don't ship NK x America for this reason.

2. Does it involve a minor x an adult?

There are fics like this. Liechtenstein x America is a thing. Liechtenstein sounds like a a child and looks like a child. America looks like he's in his 20s.

3. Is the fanfiction about it feature rape and other things that really shouldn't be written about?

Rusame is a thing that I ship, but there's so much Stockholm Syndrome fanfics, rape fanfiction, kidnapping fanfiction, that it's not the first thing I would choose to read if I was bored.

So those are my three rules. Let's start with the one that y'all definitely know I ship.

Ukus: I'm not sure how the hell I found it but I really like it. I like how Arthur isn't this whiny bitch towards America anymore and I like it when the shorter one dominates sometimes.

I also don't really mind if it's incest or not. Sure America was technically raised by England but America also technically disowned him during the revolutionary war. They aren't related by blood so if they were to have biological offspring, it wouldn't come back to bite them in the ass.

America doesn't call England big brother anymore, mostly calling him Iggy and England. When that dude said: "I know you guys are brothers but you don't look that much alike" both of them got flustered and kinda embarrassed since they weren't referred to as brothers. I don't care if you think it's incest or not, I just care if hima thinks it is.

Rusame: I'm not sure how I found this either. I remember shipping it when I first got into CH since the fics I read were decent. Rusame is not a new thing, it's been around for a while, as far back as 2014 from those slideshows with a popular song over it. I think it's sexy. Russia and America both hate eachother so it's like a more violent Fruk.

Japerica(Japame): This has to be one of the most underrated ships for America in the western fandom. I have tried to search time and time again for more top Japan only to be hit with a dead end. I found one. O N E. There needs to be more out there but I have yet to find more. I'll take anything. A dj that wasn't translated, a Google Translated fic, ANYTHING.

Itame(Italy x America): This is a really good ship. They're seriously alike in so many ways. From what type of friends they have, to how they act it's just the perfect asexual couple and I love it. For smut though, there's one top Italy fic I found. I think Italy would be a gentle lover. He'd put his lovers needs before his and try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

Germerica: As they say, opposites attract. Take America and make him the German England who still looks like America. Sorta. I just like to think of America just like bothering him while he's doing work and Germany just dealing with it since he loves Alfred too much to yell at him. I really wanna write a oneshot about them but I don't know what I'll write about.

Pruame: it's awesome.

Sufin: W i f e.

FrUkUs: I like this better than RusAmeEng cause Russia and England are so....possessive of America. Like jeez, chill out with the emo teen fics. Pretty sure England wouldn't fight with Russia, even if it meant losing "his precious America". France and England fight alot. They choke eachother, they verbally fight, they fought over who chibi America would choose, it just makes sense in terms of this ship.

Austria x Switzerland:

Fem America x England: I don't like the fics where America turns into a girl. Everyone is so handsy with her like dudes, stop.

And like suddenly everyone likes this America because she's a female and shit. Like, isn't that a bit shallow? To only like your friend when he turns female?

But if America was always female (not the fics where she pretends to be male cause I hate those ones) then I really like the ship. Like, I could just imagine England and America being all flustered around eachother and just shskspalslapakwbwwkwk IT'S SO CUTE!

Rusame: *sighs* This one has been kinda iffy lately. I just realized how many people romanticize mental illnesses and kidnapping. Please stop. People get kidnapped for really bad things. Then you find their body parts scattered across the middle east. That's how bad kidnapping is. A couple months ago I read a rusame story. I'm not gonna specify the story since I don't want y'all to go hunting for the author.

I literally thought: "WHY WE GOING SO FUCKING FAST?"  Like America and Russia are forced to live together in order to become better allies. No, it's not Thirty Day Roommates. But then, Russia watches America sleep? And he's like: "Rape." And so he ties up America and rapes him. And the worst part is, AMERICA DOESN'T CARE. HE DOESN'T CARE THAT HE WAS LITERALLY TIED UP TO HIS BED, AND FUCKING RAPED.

How many times do I, and many other people have to say it? RAPE. IS. NOT. SEXY. Russia would go to jail if anyone knew. And America has been lusting for Russia for a while so it's not even love. It's lust. There's a difference, a clear difference.

But we do have some good fics. Like Thirty Day Roommates? It updates kinda slowly but it doesn't matter. It's a really funny fic with it's fair share if sad moments and moments where it's like: "Why would you do that? You could've just talked to him?" Looking at you Japan.

Rusame is a nyeee vs HmM thing for me. Sometimes I don't want to deal with it, sometimes I do. It's probably gonna stay like that for a while. I think oneshot 8 of my oneshot book is considered sorta rusame? I don't know.

And yes I am stalling until I think of a way to end this. I didn't put a lot ships here since these are the ships I wanted to talk about the most and the ones that I want to see more content of. I have to go now, so...bye I guess.

Wait wait wait! I have something else to say! Now don't bash me for this. This is my opinion. *Takes a deep breath in*

The shipping ruined hetalia. There. I said it. People mistake hetalia for a yaoi anime when it's not. I don't think that was the type of anime hima was trying to do. He was trying to do a funny anime with guys and gals who represent countries. Not a "OH OH AMERICA SENPAI" type of anime.

But the 14 year old girls saw guys and were like: "hmmm...yes they are gæ" when non of them have canon sexualities. If they did, it would be on the hetawiki.

But people kept on asking and asking and eventually this lead to fan service. The fans ruined the fucking anime. All cause they wanted two characters to blush.

And now people are gonna see the fandom and are gonna think: "oh it's just another one of those yaoi animes with hot guys."

You can still ship of course, it's part of every fandom, but just remember, shipping isn't everything. You have your entire life ahead of you. Now don't say you don't have a life cause I know damn well you have a family and some internet friends. Don't spend your time shipping two fictional characters, you have all the time in the world for that. They aren't going anywhere. It's the internet for God's sake.

Just live your life to the fullest. Make new friends, draw, hang out with your family, maybe watch the sunset, maybe just listen to music. Just do something. Okay?
