[Sorry for not updating yesterday. I had a lot of schoolwork to finish.]
The Snatchers apparated us to a dark-clouded, dreary place. In front of us was a beautiful manor house surrounded by elaborate gardens, including a fountain. I knew this place as none other than Malfoy Manor. My heart started beating faster and faster, and I was sure the guy holding my arm tightly could hear my heart beat.
The reason behind my heart beating rapidly was because I would most likey see Draco again. It's been months since I last saw him and I wonder just how well, or bad, he's holding up.
We stopped in front of the big, black gate, where Bellatrix stood, on the other side. Scabior moved Harry's hair out of the way to reveal the lightning shaped scar.
"Get Draco."
The gate opened and we were guided inside the manor, where the Malfoy's were. I looked down at my feet, trying hard not to scan the room for Draco. As much as I missed him, I was kind of nervous to see him again.
Hermione, Ron, and I were held in place while Bellatrix held onto Harry, giving Draco a perfect view to confirm it was really Harry Potter.
"Well?" Bellatrix said, waiting for an answer.
Draco hesitated. "I can't be sure."
"Draco, look closely, son." Lucius told him, grabbing his neck harshly and guiding him forward, closer to Harry. He lowered his voice, yet we were able to continue hearing him. "If we were the ones to hand over Harry Potter to the Dark Lord, everything will be forgiven. It'll all be as it was, you understand?"
"Now we won't forget who actually caught him, I hope, Mr. Malfoy." Scabior interrupted.
"You dare talk to me like that in my own house?!" Lucius said, raising his voice more after each word. I flinched at the yell, even though it wasn't towards me.
"Lucius!" Narcissa hissed at her husband. He let go of Draco as she pulled him back.
"Don't be shy, come over." Bellatrix ushered Draco closer to get a look at Harry. "Now, if this isn't who we think he his, and we cal Him, He'll kill us all. We need to be absolutely sure."
"What's wrong with his face?" Draco asked.
"Yes, what is wrong with his face?" Bellatrix repeated.
"Came to us like that. Something he picked up in the forest, I s'pose." Scabior guessed.
"Or ran into a Stinging Jinx." Bellatrix whispered. "Was it you three?" She pointed her wand at Ron, Hermione, and I, directing the question towards us. "Grab their wands. Let's see what their last spell was."
Hermione panicked slightly, showing it on her face. I don't know why, though. If I'm correct, checking a wand for it's last spell used wasn't supposed to be possible. Bellatrix's laugh made my assumption right. It really wasn't possible.
The curly haired witch stop laughing and gasped at the sight of the sword of Gryffindor.
"What is that where'd you get that from?"
"It was in a bag when we searched them. Reckon it's mine now." The Snatcher explained. That set Bellatrix off. She cast spells on all the Snatchers, including the one that had been keeping me in place- well, actually choking me in place.
As soon as the guy got hit with the spell the Bellatrix cast, he let me go. I gasped for air and the action of releasing me somehow made my body tumble forward. I staggered on my feet, trying not to fall flat on my face. Instead of falling face first, I fell into the arms of someone.
Raising my head up, I saw that it was Narcissa Malfoy. She looked worried and helped me balance on my feet. Without anyone noticing, she took both my hands in hers, and walked me over to Draco. She looked at him and said,
"Take her to your room. Treat her there."
Draco nodded and grasped my arm, pulling me away from the chaotic scene. He let go of my arm and, instead, put his hand on the small of my back.
We stayed silent while on the way to his bedroom. Finally, we reached the designated place, and, as soon as he closed the door, Draco spun around and grabbed the sides of my face, crashing our lips together in a sweet, butterfly-filling kiss.
I got taken by surprise, but I later kissed him back.
We parted and as soon as we did, Draco pulled me into a bone-crushing hug. He sighed. "You don't know how much I've missed you. I was so worried."
"I've missed you too. A lot." I replied.
Right when Draco was right about to speak, a female scream echoed through the house. My facial expression changed from loving to horrified.
It was Hermione. She was the one screaming.
"Draco, what are they doing doing to her down there?"
"I-I don't know."
The more I heard my best friend's heart-wrenching shrieks, the more I couldn't take it.
I released myself from Draco's arms and was about to turn the knob of the door, but he stopped me from doing so. I whipped my head around to face him.
"No. Please. Stay." He begged. Right then, Draco reminded me of a young boy looks like he's about ready to cry. I couldn't deny his plead and nodded my head, letting go of the door knob. We walked to his bed and lay down upright, our backs against the headboard. His arm was around my shoulders and my head was on his chest.
I listened to his steady heart beat to distract myself from paying attention to poor Hermione's yells.
"Why didn't you tell them it was Harry? You know damn it's him." I spoke up.
Draco sighed. "I, um...I don't want Potter to die, ok? And more importantly, I don't want to be the cause of it. You know that I dislike being on the wrong side. But I can't do anything about it, so, I might as well attempt to help you guys in some sort of way."
"Why can't you just change sides? Who cares what your father thinks of it-"
"Because I'm a coward, Y/n." He cut me off. "All I've tried is to make my father proud. I can't just switch sides. And the Dark Lord, he'll..." Draco lowered his voice, "He'll kill me."
I breathed out deeply.
He's right. How can I be so selfish? I was only thinking about wanting to be with him that I didn't realize it could cost his life.
I lifted my head up. "Look at me." I said, grabbing his cheek and turning his face to look at me. Our faces were so close that the tips of our noses were touching. "You are no coward. You don't want to die. I don't want you to die either."
Draco closed the gap between us and kissed me lovingly. We continued like that until we heard the door open. "Draco- oh?"
Draco and I separated and looked over to see who it was. Narcissa.
My face reddened.
"Um, Draco could you come down?" She asked. He nodded and she closed the door. Draco turned to me.
"Do not come down. Stay here." He ordered me. I nodded gently before he got up from the bed and exited the room.
