Holy shit.
"Uhm- H-hi Emma, I'm Brendon." This can't be happening.
"I- y-yeah... Hi..." What am I saying? "I-its nice to meet you..." I add softly, looking between Brendon and Dallon, then at the nice lady who watched over us.
"And I'm Dallon." The taller added softly, looking down at the teen. Alex shifted, trying to gather his thoughts.
"I-i know..." he shifted, furrowing his eyebrows. "I-I'm sorry- I-its nice to meet you to..." He said softly, starting to rub his arms and his wrists against each other in an anxious movement. It didn't take long before the two picked up on it, Brendon just happened to be the first to say something.
"Hey... Are you alright?" He asked softly, taking a small step towards the panicing teen. Both adults seemed concerned, although they knew how to help with anxiety as both had their issues with it, this time just felt- different. Alex let out a small whimper, starting too loose control of his breathing and his actions. He shifted, now rubbing his knees together as well. He quickly moved his hands up, starting to scratch at the back of his head and neck. Upon seeing this, Brendon took action. He quickly moved forward and gently pulled the smallers hands away.
"Come on, deep breaths." He encouraged gently, watching as the other sniffled, obviously trying to keep themselves from crying. He just shook his head whimpering softly, grabbing at the sides of his shirt.
"N-no you don't want me-" He inhaled quickly, struggling to control his breathing. Brendon looked over at Dallon before going back to help Alex.
"Yes we do..." His voice was soft, calming. "Now deep breaths, focus on your breathing." He wasn't sure exactly what would help the teen, but he knew that breathing played a huge role in it. Alex closed his eyes tight, once again scratching at the back of his neck. His breathing started to get more out of control, he took fast, deep breaths. Tears started to stream down his face, he was having a panic attack. Brendon gulped and looked up at the small, older lady who told him wear the bathroom was. Brendon gently led the other to the bathroom and shut and locked the door, slowly sitting down with him.
"Y-you don't want m-me...!" He squeaked out, his voice cracking. All Brendon did was shake his head and rub the others back soothingly, trying to figure out what to do. He gently hugged him, letting him let everything out. All Alex could think about was how this whole thing was a big mistake. He shouldn't get adopted, at least not by these two! His entirety was misread, he wasn't who they thought he was. This was all a mistake. They were signing up for more then they bargained for.

After a while, Brendon slowly walked back to his husband and the older lady Miss Linda. He sighed softly and walked next to Dallon, gently taking his hand in his and intertwining their fingers. He looked down at their hands before he started to speak.

"She had a panic attack." He started softly. "I-i don't know-" He paused and sighed. "She kept repeating how we didn't want her and this was all a mistake... I-i feel so bad..." he let out a small whimper, tears filling his eyes. "It was like she knew something that we didn't." He said softly, sighing. Dallon rubbed his back gently, trying to sooth him. He placed a gentle kiss on the smallers cheek.

"Where is she now...?" He asked softly. Of course he didn't like how the teenager they were about to be adopting just had a panic attack, but he found it- heartwarming. How concerned Brendon was for her.

"Shes in the bathroom." He sighed. "I made sure she calmed down she just wanted some time to herself. Which is understandable... She said after that shed get her stuff?" He looked up at Miss Linda, unsure if that was the right thing to let her do. The older lady just nodded and looked at them, a small smile on her face. She reached over and took the teens paperwork, looking at it, then over a the couple.

"As you may know, she has anxiety. She also has ADHD. I don't want to go too in depth about her family, but she did have to end up here somehow... Her father had a heart attack and her mother got in a car accident... You guys can talk about that if you wish, but I'd be careful. Her mother had gotten her a snake? I don't know if you two would be okay with that, but hes at a shop not too far away from here." She smiled softly. Dallon nodded, gently taking the paperwork from her.

"Thank you..." He said softly, looking at Brendon. The smaller gently pecked his cheek and overlooked everything with him. Miss Linda watched them for a moment before once again speaking up.

"She's a handful, she can be difficult. But she's definitely worth it.
