Derek Morgan wasn't sure what exactly it was that pulled him out of his sleep, but as he adjusted to his surrounding he felt the presence of a small thin body in this arms with their face buried into his chest. For a brief second Derek thought it was another one night stand because recently he had gotten used to waking up with a random hookup in his bed more mornings then he would care to admit . It was his way of coping with his unrequited feelings for Spencer, but after blinking a couple times he realized the body in his arms was Spencer's . The events from the past couple of days and the words from last night came flooding back to him all at once.

Slowly unwrapping Spencers body and sitting up Derek grabbed his phone off of the night table to check it. It was 11:30 and Derek was glad they had been able to get so much sleep, it was definitely needed. Morgan slowly made his way to his feet, careful not to wake the sleeping doctor. He walked into the bathroom to wash his face, brush his teeth, trying to get the sleep out of his system and wake himself up. As he was about to exit the bathroom he heard a "Derek, Derek" coming from the other room. Figuring Spencer just didn't know where he was he walked into the room, but what he saw broke his heart. Spencer was curled into a ball shaking from a nightmare. "Derek... help...please.... no NO...PLEASE... stop" was what Derek was able to make out from a weak, panicked, almost unintelligible voice.

Derek ran to the bed and sat down near Reid pulling the young man almost into his lap holding him tightly while trying to wake him up. "Spencer, hey baby wake up it's a nightmare" Reid woke up sobbing. "It's okay baby" Derek rocked Spencer gently "you're okay, I'm right here, I'm here" Derek comforted the small man planting kisses all over Spencer's forehead.

After a few minutes of letting Derek hold him, Spencers sobs subsided and he sat up in the bed. "You okay?" Derek asked, obviously concerned. Spencer nodded "just a nightmare" he said softly, casually like he wasn't just sobbing into Derek's arms a few minutes ago. "The fact that I only had one last night is statistically improbable, they should have started bad, slowly subsiding as I adjusted to what happened to me. If fact in 96% of kidnapping cases that result in PTSD......" Derek let Spencer ramble on knowing that this was how he was comforted, he liked facts and statistics, but he wasn't so good with the unknown which he had to deal with a lot of in the last couple of days. Derek just listened holding Spencer to his chest, stroking his hair and kissing the genius's forehead repeatedly. After Spencer was done with his small tangent, he untangled himself from Derek saying he needed to wash up trying to get the sleep and unpleasant memories out of his head.

Derek started on the coffee, knowing that even though hotel coffee wasn't the best, it would make his pretty boy happy. That man's ability to consume the amount of coffee that he did a day baffled Derek, but it was a part of Spencer that made him who he was and so Derek loved it.

When Spencer hadn't walked back into the main section of the room in 20 minutes, concern flooded Derek's system. He walked to the bathroom door with a cup of coffee in his hand and knocked. When Spencer didn't respond Derek almost began to panic , but kept a level head and tried the doorknob that luckily, the doctor hadn't bothered to lock. Derek slowly opened the door to find Reid leaning against the counter that the sink was in, facing away from the mirror so he was almost sitting on the counter but both feet were on the floor firmly. His arms were by his side, palms pressed into the countertop, long fingers gripping the edge of the counter. Reid was seemingly staring off into space, Derek presumed he was lost in thoughts about Tobias.

Derek moved himself until he was standing in front of Reid, standing quite a bit taller than him because of the doctors leaned back position. "You good?" Derek asked concerned. Spencer met his eyes, nodding. "Made you coffee" Derek moved forward to stretch on arm out to put the coffee on the counter, the leaned his hand on the counter, body leaned down and towards Spencer.
