Chapter 11 Dinner

Jennifer's POV

I am so excited for Colin and I's dinner. I can't wait to end this fight. Everything is going to go perfect. Wait I almost forgot I promised Jesse that I would go out with him tonight. Jen relax just call Jesse and tell him something important came up. I'am not technically telling a lie because Colin and I's dinner is important, and nothing can go wrong.

"Jesse?" I say into my phone
"Hey Jen, I can't wait for our dinner tonight," he says excited. "Ya about that," I say feeling bad. "Jen?" He asks confused. "Something really important came up, and I don't think I can come. Sorry," I say hopefully convincing enough. "Oh okay, maybe we can have dinner another time."
"That would be great. I'am so sorry."

Colin's POV

I get to Jen's house a little bit early. I take out the flowers I bought for her out of the trunk, and start to walk towards her front door. I knock on her door with our special knock like I always do. "Be there in a second," I hear her yell through the door. She opens the door, and all I can say is "Wow!" She is dressed in a red no sleeved dress that is just above her knees, and her naturally curly hair is pulled to her left shoulder. "Thanks Colin, but I don't look that great. You look devilishly handsome," she says jokingly. "Why thank you," I hand her the flowers. "Aww, thanks so much. I love daises," she says flattered.

We walk to my car, and I open the door for Jen. "M'lady," I say. "Aw thank you so much Colin," she says cutely. "So what is new?" I ask Jen trying to start convocation. "Colin, I miss you."
"I miss you too, but from now on I promise you I will never leave you again."
"Colin, don't make promises you can't keep," she says warning me. "Okay." Is all I say.

We finally get to the restaurant, and it is poring ran outside. Luckily there is a umbrella in the trunk of my car. "Where here!," I say to cheerfully. I drive up to the valet parking, I give the keys to the man, and then I get the umbrella from the trunk. I hold the umbrella in my left hand over top of Jen's head. "Thanks Colin," she says grateful.

When we get into the restaurant we are lead to a booth. "So..."
"So."
"How are things with you and Jesse?"
"great, but I don't want to talk about him."
"Oh okay."
"Colin, I want things to go back to normal."
"I do too," I say. A waiter comes to our table. "Hello, welcome to the Italian Kitchen. Would you like something to drink?" I hear her ask us. "I would like a beer please," I say. "What kind?" The waiter asks politely. "Surprise me," I say just wanting to get rid of the waiter, so I can talk to Jen. "And what can I your girlfriend?" The waiter asks. "Oh we are not together," Jen says quickly Jen orders her favourite margarita, and the waiter brings the drinks shortly after.

"Colin, if you don't mind me asking are you giving Helen custody?"
"I don't mind at all, and I think I am gonna ask Helen for shared custody."
"That's great, I'am so happy for you!" She says. "Thanks."

"So Jen, I need to tell you something," I stutter. "Ya what's up?"
"Umm, I-" she interrupts me. "Colin, we need to get out of here!"
